Struisbaai Harbour

Struisbaai harbour is the centre entertainment and commercial area of Struisbaai and it’s pretty obvious is you spend just a few minutes here.The fishermen are out the morning and most of the day when it functions as a working industrial (though small) harbour.As the weather warms up, the parents bring their kids for a swim, for ice-cream or to looks at the school of rays which populate the water here.Toward the evening, the restaurant fills up, the leisure fishermen arrive and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed.There is a great vibe here among the people and there are lifeguards on patrol for those who are swimming as well.Sometimes, you can buy fish directly from the boats.

Fun little active harbor with lots of boats coming in and out and people fishing on the docks.The highlight was definitely the two giant sting rays circling the harbor and providing up close encounters!

When in Struisbaai - visit this area! Lovely restaurants and beach area. Fishing activities. Water is much warmer that towards the Cape. The Stingrays provide great entertainment value.

Its a beautiful place lovely restaurant. Had a mothers day lunch there & the food was good also some live music enjoyed the walk afterwards along the boardwalk. Its so relaxing &.beautiful out there. A lovely weekend away there to get away from citylife for sure.

We literally spent the entire day on the beach when we are visiting.

Clean water, great fishing town and lots of attractions. Be sure to go to the harbour and meet the local stingrays!

Pretty little harbour, well worth a visit. If you're lucky you many even get see the local stingray and otter that feed off the fish from the boats.

A beautifull photogenic harbour. Especially at sunset. Colourful fishing boats on calm waters. There are also massive stingrays that visit the harbour at sunset. They come after the bait and fish innards that fishermen discard when they clean their day's catch. What a sight!!

Great place to visit while in Struisbaai. I recommend going there in the morning especially on the weekend, what a spectacle you can see. Big cars dragging the fishing boats on the trailers out of the water. Once you're there look for two stingrays cruising around in the harbour water, they're massive!
