Hi everyone please stay away from this holiday destination.I personally will never go back to this place as the owner is very rude and unprofessional with her services and did not deliver wat was promised.She looked for every excuse to cover up for all the mishaps encountered.No water. No drinking water. No electricity. No gas for braai area, all empty. Braai area still uncleaned from previous guests.No wifi which i think is very essential.Fridges not working effeciently and our goods had gone bad in fridge.No deep freezer as promised it was out of service.You will be watching tv or engaged in your own personal conversations and you will see the owner or her family members walking in the yard or in the garage coming unnanounced as she had her own set of keys which i think is not on as you have paid a large amount of money and you should be allowed your privacy at the least.Definately a no go zone from my side. Please save your money you better off at home. This is definately NOT a home away from home.Mr Asif

Would highly recommend!!! Sandi was so welcoming and she truly made us feel like we were at home. The house is clean, spacious and the rooms have the more incredible views. The location is also perfect, close to everything you need. Will definitely be back soon!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Geckomoon provided us the much needed break we were looking for. From the choice of having a braai with an inland view to a braai with a sea view to a bar that we frequented and a pool that we spent hours in ... we will recommend you to everyone looking for an affordable break away from reality!Thank you to the hosts of this home for allowing us the pleasure. Wonderful family home with all the amenities you could possibly ask for. Sandi is the most friendly and accommodating host. The house was spotlessly clean and the beautiful pool , sparkling blue. The sea views are spectacular and just a short walk to a lovely swimming beach. Two beautiful braai areas, with a choice of inland or sea views. Even more choices between a gas braai or a wood braai. We have been coming to this establishment for many years, and always look forward to Sandi’s welcoming smile and her dedication to making sure our holiday is most enjoyable. I highly recommend Gecko Moon for your next holiday, a home away from home!

I stayed here on a friends recommendation . It was a wonderful few days .... starting the day with a fabulous breakfast and then a stroll to the beach.The property is totally secure and my room was poolside . Stunning views , rooms and the best host ever. Many thanks Sandi for this special time in your fabulous home .

If i could rate this establishment lower than 1 star i would. The service and upkeep of the accommodation was appalling.We were asked to to arrive at accommodation at 2.30 which we did, to our inconvenience the accommodation was not cleaned or ready for our arrival , forcing us to miss serveral hrs of the day that we had already paid for. The owner had 1 helper cleaning a 6 bedroom house, which was shocking.No handover was done by the owner , as i know should be done at every private accommodation, then again it wasnt that private as the owner (Sandy) used to just excess the property unannounced invading over privacy as she resides in the property next door.The gas braai was totally disgusting as it had not been clean from the previous quests. We notified her there was no gas on our arrival and she did nothing but make excuses, she put herself before our needs.I have never been to a establishment where we had to carry our own toilet paper.A basic necessity such as clean water was not provided for her guests. We had to beg and plead to her to provide water for our bathing, we were then told she has 2 jojo tanks but she did not mention it was not functional. If you as owner are aware of water shotages in an area it is your responsibility to ensure your guests need are seen to as this was not the case.Our food that we have kept in the refrigerator had been spoilt due to the refrigerator was not functioning properly. When the water had come back, we didnt have hot water as the geyser wasnt working as well. One of the many nights that we had no electricity we couldnt even find a candle we had to call her the next day ask her for it, yet again it something that needs to be provided without having to ask for it.None of the rooms locked as there weren't any keys on the doors. I have never been to an accommodation where there was no duvet inner we had to ask her to provide that and she made it seem like she was doing us such a great favour .We were told she had a chest freezer on the premises which i think she lied about on our arrival we asked about it and she said unfortunately it broke that morning how convenient.My family and i travel often, we are aware of the bare essentials thats required in a facility. After the year we all had we so looked forward to spending quality time with our loved ones expecting this accommodation to be a home away from home as advertised. But unfortunately due to the poor hospitality and upkeep by the owner we were made to feel very uncomfortable. This actually turned out to be a nightmare....I will not recommend this accommodation to anyone, as a dream is being sold but you actually buying a nightmare...........

Sandy has created an amazing space, outstanding value for money. Fantastic views, top drawer furnishings and fittings and a welcoming atmosphere.We had a marvellous time, and would not hesitate to recommend Gecko Moon to anyone looking for that special place to stay.

I absolutely adored my stay at Gecko Moon. Such a beautiful space to accommodate a large family. The multiple entertainment areas allowed for the adults and children to enjoy different spaces. It is situated close to shops which makes it convenient to pop out. Stunning pool area to enjoy on hot days if you decide not to go to the beach but it especially saved us for evening dips to cool us down.Thank you for the hospitality Gecko Moon, we will certainly be back again.

Will definitely return to this amazing place. Sandi is so welcoming and makes you feel at home. Perfect location and the views of the ocean are amazing. Great amenities too.
