Rayton Traffic Department

This place is absolutely amazing - best service every single time! Rayton traffic department is 25km away from my local traffic department but worth the drive. This centre is so organised starting with their very friendly and knowledgeable security guards. The centre opens promptly at 8 but by 07:30 the personnel are already on site. They welcome you with a smile whilst checking your documents. The speed at which you are assisted is unmatched AND their systems have been working each time I have visited. Applying and receiving my driver’s license has NEVER been so easy!!Thank you thank you for making things so easy, being efficient and providing an overall pleasurable experience.

Tried to do my learners license twice at this facility. The First time there was scheduled loadshedding during my hour testing slot. The lady responsible was clueless but spoke with authority, she assured us the there was batteries on the computers but that we should hurry. 20 mins into the test, loadhshedding hit and computers died instantly. No refund or rebooking was offered, she told us to book again and to just tell the admin next time and they will refund it. Took a few weeks to find another booking, we made sure that there was no loadshedding this time. Got to the counter and tried to explain what happened last time but was met with instant defensive and accusations that it was impossible. The admin lady then continued to tell me to be honest with my mother that I failed the test last time rather than it being because I couldn't finish the test due to the batteries" not working

I went to renew my license, had to pay a fine before I could make payment. A metro female cop assisted me, she took my card, typed in all the info in the front as well as the back, then I had to swipe as well, which failed. I questioned her on why she is taking my security info AND i had to swipe? She and another colleague said that is how the system works. I felt extremely uneased, called my bank and they said I should cancel the card and walk out. They had no reason to take my card details and CVC. They are clearly busy with fraud.

The staff are doing a brilliant job, delivering helpful service with a smile. Turnaround speeds are impressive. Unfortunately the offices do not have backup electricity as yet, and have to close during power outages. Apart from that, this would be a well deserved 5 star rating.

I booked online to renew my driver's license. I found the system very user friendly. My appointment was for this morning. My experience, unlike in the past, was absolutely wonderful. The staff were professional and friendly. The premises and ablutions were clean. I was in and out within 4pm minutes. The only problem I encountered, was not really knowing where the new driving license premises are now located in Rayton. This address needs to be added on the online registration system. However. A definite yhank you to the Rayton Team for my great experience of this morning.

What an amazing experience after being used to the rudeness of the Bronkhorstspruit traffic department staff. The Rayton facilities are extremely clean, spacious and well managed. A special mention needs to be made of Joey van der Walt who really goes the extra mile to assist and make your visit there as hassle-free as possible. Not only us, but everyone who was in the queue in front of us.In fact, all the staff we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful - not once did we feel that anyone is just doing this so they can get a salary at the end of the month - it really seems as if they take pride in their jobs and the service they deliver.

I made a booking to renew my license. This did not exist as we sat in queues.Be careful, a person came to help us and told me that I had a traffic fine. He took R550.00 and said he would pay it and bring the receipt. This did not happen. I saw him later and he said the person was on lunch. He had full access to the cashier's. He gave me his number which did not exist. This is blatant fraud and theft. The person who takes the photo's introduced him. Will take this further.

Staff have no manners. No help what so ever, have not ben at a worst place in my live.

This will be the first place to check for corruption....the entire bunch of workers are dealing in corruption. From the security guard to the cashier's. Check the cameras out...guys are walking in and out and getting the learners licence, drivers licences without taking test's. As a normal civilian you can notice the runners and the corrupt people in the offices. If you have 4 -5 hours waiting in line, you will notice all the corruption happening.

I unfortunately read the reviews too late. There are people at the department pretending to be working for the department, but they’re there to scam you and steal your money. Rather go to another place.All of this is in front of security. Afterwards they just say with a slight smile: “There is nothing we can do”.
