Al Madina take aways is a small food take out in the heart of the Surrey Estate community. Their food is always freshly made. Their prices very affordable. And the portion too much for one person. Their Rooti kebab is my absulote favoriteYou can phone order ahead, and the food is always ready to pick up when you get there

Oh I must have a Roti kebab every Saturday as it complete my week.If you do happen to come across this place order a Roti kebab with BBQ and Tikka sauce.You might end up there every week.

I have bought roti kebabs for over 5years from this place weekly...kebab was reheated again chicken was hard like biltong & this was not my first experience this has happend to me a few times previously4 days ago I purchased a raw kebab.Unhappy customer

Literally down my road and super convenient for anyone living in the Surrey Estate Athlone area. My alternate to Arshaad's Kitchen. The food is great and the service is fast. Don't let the inside of the shop put you off as the owner recently got permission to upgrade/renovate. I enjoy the tikka chicken breast piece with chips, a little salad and garlic naan for R43.

My only problem is they always get my order wrong where my sauce is concern ...my order is no sauce on my rooti kebab.. sauce on the side but it always ends up on the kebab

Worth a 30 minute drive to get some really good Tikka house foods.The kebabs are the best I've had in Cape Town, and it dethroned an old favourite. Done over fire with onion and peppers skewered between the chicken pieces, and served in a roti with chips, the chicken kebabs literally burst with juices when bit into. And all that for R40?!Even if you're from outside the area, try this place out. So, so good.
