We had the best lunch experience ever! Excellent location on the beach with a sandy 'floor'. Our waiter, Ferdie, was the friendliest and fastest ever! Only the great food topped his service.Do come early [11 o'clock opening time] for the full experience.

From seating areas indoors as well as outdoors, the sounds of waves and a gorgeous ocean view, is Die Walsipper unbeatable. Friendly staff with knowledge of the menu, and providing recommendations. Eat a delicious meal outside with your toes in the sand and have your children play safely close by. Sanitation is an important factor in the restaurant as each seat and table is wiped after the customers leave, even the bathrooms are wooden houses on the side of the building that are very clean. The food portions were generous with lovely presentations. We had calamari, hake, and chips. The calamari was perfectly fried, the hake was a large portion and the chips were deliciously crispy. We enjoyed the meal accompanied by cold beers and gin on tap.I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves food and quality customer service.

Incredible meal! Came 6 years ago, and came back this evening. The place has really been spruced up, and is a lovely environment. The food is exceptional (platters are amazing). The staff is super friendly. We had a lovely waitress who was careful to explain all the specials and very attentive to our table. Best restaurant in JBay. Would come back in a heartbeat! Maybe even tomorrow!!

We had a lovely meal and experience at this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend and we decided to go to J-Bay for the beach and the food later.The restaurant is situated by a section of the beach which is very nice for the kids to play nearby. The restaurant has an open-feel vibe with an outdoor grass section and fireplaces all around the restaurant for the indoors. Their floor is covered by sand so you can put your feet in the sand while you dine.We had very fresh oysters to start with and a shellfish platter for two to share. The platter has everything - crayfish, calamari, crab, langoustines and scallops. It was so fresh that you could taste the quality of the seafood. The meats on the crayfish were cooked perfectly and so soft to chew. One of the best seafood I have ever eaten. This is definitely a proper seafood restaurant that serves high quality seafood. They also serve meat dishes but since you are going to a beach, you have to try their seafood.We had a lovely server, his service was attentive and efficient. We had seafood only so the prices were slightly on the high side but it was so good that it was very worth it!!!

We had an amazing lunch today! Everything was incredible, from the cold Coronas, to the gin on tap, and all the tasty food. The staff members are all very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our waiter Brendan. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, having your toes in the sand, sound of the waves, and spectacular oceans views is unbeatable.

Very good environment, the restaurant is next to the beach and has a sandy floor so it feels like you’re dining on the beach.The restaurant primarily serves seafood but also has some meat dishes. The fish and the meat are barbecued over hot coals to give an incredible flavour and texture.They also have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, wines and coffees. Service is very good and the quality of seafood is top notch.Definitely recommend.Ambience: 10/10Taste: 7/10Service: 8/10Value for money: 7/10

Young man serving us was pleasant and charming. A student. The food was lovely, well cooked and great variety. We had a platter to share amongst 5 of us plus 2x roosterbrood. Amazing, we couldn't finish even half. Yes it was expensive, but we'll worth it

Plenty of parking. Stunning outlook with a lovely vibe. My Thai fish cakes were not to my expectations, however the fish and chips was very good. It was pleasing to wander off while waiting for the meal, to have a walk on the beach and a paddle in the sea.
