Car Service City - Montague Gardens

My vehicle went in for the annual major service. The mechanic was friendly and helpful. Fully explained the additional work needed and quoted on it, giving me the option to return if I want to go ahead with it. Will definitely use them again in the future

First time I've taken a car there and will definitely not be the last. They are well knowledged in their industry, do a brilliant job and really take time to help one understand what was done and what needs to be done. Very good value for money with excellent quality and service. Staff are helpful and friendly. Will absolutely refer others...

Got great service from Eugene. I took my car in for its annual service after seeing a lot of positive reviews on Google and they handled everything very professionally, kept me in the loop and informed me of extra work which had to be done. They sorted out an issue I mentioned to Eugene as well, which the previous company ignored. Will definitely use them again. And pricing is also reasonable

Would give zero stars if I could. Do not recommend this company. Please take your car elsewhere. Poor workmanship and service. Do not take the additional flush service, beware as they over filled my oil and did not do proper checks on the flush. Car had noises on it after fetching the vehicle from the service center, but I was not made aware of any of this upon collection. Seems they just wanted to take my money and do the bare minimum.

I’m very disappointed with the service, I was so happy with the front desk people when I arrived there, there were so nice, I have a feeling everything was going to be perfect I asked them if the service Mercedes Benz the said yes because I got there flyers with one of there workers, the did all car inspection and I left my car in there hands believing my car was safe, the called me around to 4 that the were done I must come and fetch my car, I went but the were not yet done but something looks fish but I thought it was my mind I ignored, I waited until they were done, I took my car I left around 5 to 6, when I got home I do my car inspection as usual I normally do after servicing my car, that’s when I notice the scratched my car and my tyre rim. I was so disappointed and angry, IWent this morning to let them know I’m not happy at all the need to fix my car, Clinton told me he’ll contact head office, please I need my car to be fixed because right now I don’t know if you really do a proper service.

Blatantly and conspicuously deceitful - such a pity in today's economic times.I took my car in for a major service (R4,199), done - it seems so on the surface.They called to (emphatically) quote on many other extras that needed prompt attention, specifically the front brake disc's that they said needed 'urgent' attention (skimming), including the rod ends and stabilizer links (which are all clearly visible once you take the wheels off).They were VERY emphatic about the above being critical, at R1,316 (highlighted in yellow on the quote)I know the guys across the road from me at Hi-Q fairly well - I've used them once or twice, hell of a nice guys. I had a feeling my discs etc were fine, no shuddering when I brake, no visible signs of wear. Popped past Hi-Q, they took one look at the discs (without taking the wheels off), and said there's absolutely no problem with them at all, adding that even if the discs did need skimming, they'd charge R600 for the pair.They were so enthusiastic about showing me how Car Service City had deceived me that they took the two front wheels off, showed me the discs, the rod ends and stabilizer links and said they were 100% perfect, taking me to the back and showing me what shot discs looked like. Mine are absolutely 100% perfectly smooth. My TYRES need replacing, yes that I know, but Car Service Centre (with cockroaches prolific in the reception area), you guys are the epitome of shady and disreputable workshops!I generally lean towards optimism and believe people are basically good-natured, I don't consider myself a bitter person, but quite honestly these crooked workshops / dealerships do need to be exposed.There is absolutely no way they can justify themselves to this end. I have the call recordings, the list of work 'I need done' etc.Stay well clear of Car Service City. More particularly their branch in Montague Gardens. Appalling (especially in SA where we're all struggling financially).

I took my car in for a service and there were a number of things wrong. They took me through all the work that needed to be done. They were patient, friendly, helpful. I would highly recommend them. They are one of the best in the car servicing industry.

I was really I.pressed by the service received. Previously we have only used the agent but received much better service from Car Service City that the vehicles agent. Well done!

What a bunch of crooks. I was charged for things that I didn't even agree to. No communication was made to me. When collecting my car I was forced to pay. 1 star is too high for these robbers. Unethical. They even sent the car to another workshop(not theirs) without my consent, I had to find out when collecting. After waiting 45mins for them to go get it from another place.To make things worse they comment on bad reviews asking people to email them, but they don't response. Proper Crooks.
