Someone with spare change needs to invest. There is sooo much potential. The staff are friendly, the tour is extra informative and the duck is the cutest thing ever.Make sure to go on a sunny day and preferably in summer. There are more species out and about then.

The butterfly valley farm is the most beautiful thing we have ever experienced. Entrance for adults is R80 and you get waaaay more than what you pay for. The tour started with an educational video on butterflies which made me have a newfound fascination for them making me cherish the tour even more. You learn so much, it's incredibly educational. The gardens are serene, our tour guide was witty and friendly and its was really a beautiful experience. Please do go on a sunny day as you will see dozens and dozens of butterflies. They also have a great butterfly gift shop with goodies that are a most buy. If you are in Margate, you HAVE TO visit this butterfly farm!!

Off season and very quiet. Kids loved the butterflies and our guide was knowledgeable and excited about butterflies. She did well to entertain kids questions too. Venue got a bit beat up by the Kzn flood some time back and could do with a bit of maintenance but priority is the butterflies and they are thriving and it’s amazing to see the variety.

Enjoyed the informative session and on a cloudy day still managed to see some beautiful butterflies. Thank you and keep up the good work.

What an amazing experience . It's nice to see butterflies but to learn so much in one afternoon shows how much they care. My wife spent two days taking photos. Kids just love this place with adventurous path ways throught the habitat. Plenty of Bunnies and guinea pigs.

The butterflies farm is lovely and we absolutely loved our visit there. Some lovely butterflies, very interesting information and video to start the tour. All with the help of volunteers!Just a hint - Go on a sunny day when the butterflies are out and about!The farm desperately needs work and your support. The gift shop is in need of a good clean and nice stock but otherwise a lovely place to visit.

We had a wonderful guide who was very knowledgable, 5 stars for her incredible tour she gave us. Hope she becomes a full time employee, as she is currently just a volunteer. The actual farm, needs a bit of TLC and looks and bit run down. Lots of potential.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. We loved every bit of our time there. We got to see so many beautiful butterflies and learn about them as well. Theirs rabbits that you can feed as well. Make sure you go when the sun is out that’s only when you will see the butterflies.
