Second Waterfall

Very nice hike ! Not that difficult . To the first waterfall it is a flat hike but to the second waterfall there is a bit of climbing . You walk next to the river the whole time . Stunning views !

The Second Waterfall is for those who love adventure and don't mind there feet getting wet!! Be careful as the rocks can be slippery! The higher level is very dangerous and should only be attempted with an experienced guide!!

Great walk and well worth a day out. Pools around second waterfall particularly if you go on a hot day are very refreshing

Great hike with only one path in and out so super simple to follow and find both waterfalls. Just watch out for Baboons.

Amazing hike! Very tropical and tons of fun. It is not too long, but does involve a little bit of climbing which can be scary for some. If you enjoy an adventurous climb/hike it is amazing.

Nice hike and waterfall. I would recommend to drive with the car to the middle of the loop road in the nature reserve and hike up the trail from there. Halfway along the trail you will find the first waterfall which it's very nice. This is a flat and easy hike. From there you carry on along the trail . The last bit is a bit of a climb over boulders and along the river but definitely worthwhile once you arrive at the waterfall and have a refreshing swim. Bring enough water and the cap against the sun you can fill your water bottles along the way in the streams

The true Second Waterfall (+-70 high) is an amazingly beautiful place. It is unfortunate though that it is a dangerous to climb up past the point where there's a small waterfall (which many people think is the second Waterfall) to reach the Second Waterfall. Over the years there have been serious falls there. I am trying to encourage Cape Nature to install chains and metal steps to improve the safety of the popular route similar to measures taken on Table Mountain, India Venster route. As Cape Nature take entrance fees at the entrance to the reserve which is to be used for maintenance of the routes, I feel they should be responsible to improve the safety of their most popular route . If you also feel the same way, please email Cape Nature to mount pressure to improve the safety of this popular beautiful route, such as I have just done.

So worth walking the miles to the beautiful destination and to conquer your fears just to get to that 2nd Waterfall!It's a must see and you can also jump into the waterfall, but I dodnt got a chance to experience that, but it will defnitely be worth doing it of you are a adrenalin junkie!! *
