Sterns - Eastgate

By far the most disappointing service I've experienced. From trying on rings, to buying the ring, to attempting to have it sized. The staff are so unfriendly to the point of being rude, cold and unhelpful. It's almost as if they don't want to sell you any jewellery at all. It's as if they're trying to get you to go next door to American Swiss or Brown's or something. Truly an unfortunate experience that now lives alongside my engagement. Upon going to have my ring resized, I was greeted with disdain and attitude from the staff. Further informing me that the price I was quoted for the resizing no longer applies. Further that their system is offline and they cannot take my ring and have it booked it to be sent off for resizing. I tell you, so determined are they not get business. I had to ask for the size rings as I wasn't even offered them. Mind you, my engagement ring was bought at this exact branch just last week.Never going back there and will not be recommending this branch to anyone.Edit - I got in touch with the Johannesburg region manager after taking my ring to Sterns Greenstone (lovely staff and store by the way) to bring this to her attention and she will be investigating.

Terrible terrible service from a Lebo in the store. I bought a ring to be resized in 3 to 5 days, 3 weeks later I haven’t been called by the store. When I call to enquire Lebo was very rude and unprofessional

So i bought my ring last 2018 2019 my diomnds fell on which my partner suprised me with a replica of the same ring. I had it resized at the eastgate branch and how i recieved it back was that they polished alll the ingraving out and the black marking. I had it send in for them to fix it and then got it back and it looked even worse same again sent it in again waited 2 weeks for it almost and got it back today and still the same mistake yes they added the black marking in but it looked like 20 r black marker pen, which im pretty sure it is because using a ear bud gets it of.Not recommended at all and i will never do business with sterns again they are a dissapointment after disappointment.I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy.

We were not helped, even though there was someone available to help us she wouldn't help us. I'm Jewish, and she was Muslim, and I feel as if that was antisemitic. Extremely unimpressed

Did not have stock of an advertised ring and cound not assist with swapping a damaged watch

The one star is unfortunately deserved due to the following:- Staff are untrained and lack knowledge of basic products.- Very limited selection- Staff are not only unfriendly, they are aggressive towards clients.

Thank you to all the ladies at Sterns Eastgate. You made me feel like a queen. Your service was out of this world.
