Love the fish

My family was very happy with the portion and how fresh the fish was. Probably going to be a regular weekly meal.

Called in my order, was asked to collect in 15 minutes, showed up in 20 minutes, hake and chips was ready, calamari and prawns needed to be fried, limp lettuce had to be chopped,Had to listen to the owner complain about how badly she's aging and how she hates wearing face masks,The person frying the fish and chips was coughing and didn't have his mask covering his face.Got scoulded for complaining, left with cold oily chips and found part the fish batter uncooked.I definitely did not pay for good food yesterday!I absolutely don't mind waiting but can't stand a bad attitude.This after 3 of my friends said your food is not good and I encouraged them to support our own anyway.

I ordered half a calamari Gatsby cut in two and a fish roll (burger) I was extremely disappointed. The Gatsby had 6 strips of calamari, the one portion had 2 strips and the other 4 strips, it was more a chip Gatsby. Chips had no chip spice as requested and it was oily and tasteless. My son's fish burger, of which he ate only half as the fish was not fried properly and again more chips than anything else. The quality of food is extremely disappointing and its not the first time but it is my first time complaining. I called and the owner was very surprised but was apologetic, she advised that they weigh the calamari hence the six strips, she couldn't understand why I am complaining about the fish burger though and offered me a 10% discount on my next purchase but I have no intention of ever buying food there again. The previous owners never made food of such a poor quality and they were there for years until Covid-19 happened. With everything going on around us, it is important to support our local businesses in our community but our local businesses should also provide us with a service or product that is up to standard in order for them to maintain the support from their community. I was very reluctant to add the star, but couldn't post without selecting at least one.
