Great facility

The ugly face of athletics in Australia. Hard track in complete disrepair. It is borderline unsafe to train on. The price has gone up and access to blocks has been removed. It seems athletics has sold out to other sports as the facility is hogged by soccer and rugby players. Such a shame

Was there for a school event and the fire alarm just randomly started going off and they can't cancel it until fire-fighters turn up and cancel it for the venue.

Absolutely appalling. The track is rock solid and old, it lacks grip in many sections even with track spikes on. Many areas of the track are water logged and have been crudely cut away and not re-patched to drain water. Moreover, the price to train on the track has increased substantially despite the option to use blocks and hurdles being taken away. Finally, the track is often over run by soccer players despite the new multi field facility that has been completed in the same complex.It is a terrible shame as this has long been a facility for all track and field athletes to put in solid track times and it has been ruined by the greed of the council, the people caring for the track and the coaches" in all sports putting their athletes through training in such terrible conditions. It's as if these people are actively trying to damn this sport in Australia!"

BISP Track has no IAAF Accreditation either 1 or 2. No track rail so no records.Track dangerous - resurfaced in humid months so moisture trapped in interface layer. During summer track surface material bubbles, then cut to release steam. Track colour incorrect, red, absorbs heat Blue reflects. Jump Bags always wet, no air gap.Throws Cage next to Railway. No Showers or Change rooms for Track Athletes. Training fees double of other all-weather tracks. Vouchers difficult to buy. Lighting useless for night meets or training.
