My child takes violin lessons with IWIM and also plays in the ensemble they run at her school. Very happy with both, her progress with the lessons has been amazing and the lessons enjoyable, and she really loves the ensemble. Without the ensemble she would be less interested in playing violin, she really enjoys playing with other children and it really motivates her to play more. In fact, playing with the ensemble is her favourite thing about the violin!

Learning piano with Nelly has been an amazing experience; she is so passionate and dedicated!!!! I just started around Easter and I've learn a lot in just 3 months!!!! Considering I'm 35 years old I thought I was late to play an instrument but Nelly changed my mind since then!!!! I really highly recommend 100%

Victoria is not only an outstanding teacher but gets remarkable results from her students and makes the journey such a pleasurable one!

My daughter Olivia has been a student at IWIM for over 16 months learning under Jessica Westcott, and the transformational change in her has been remarkable. Not only has she learnt to play the piano but also built up her confidence in singing. At school her Teacher always referred to her as ‘a little mouse’, meaning she was always sheltered, had a little voice and never did anything that would draw attention to herself. Now since doing music and learning with Jessica, she is confident, always willing to demonstrate her abilities and not afraid to speak up. Jessica brings an amazing level of energy, she is fun, patient and also has a warm nature towards kids. Her personality is what makes Olivia want to go to lessons every week.

Very dissatisfied with Victoria Jacono-Gilmovich. I made an email inquiry to Victoria in March 2020 regardind Cello lessons for my teenage daughter. On this occasion I received a prompt reply rom Victoria. I sent a reply via email asking for clarification on the lesson and services, I did not receive a reply after a few days. I rang Victoria's mobile number and left a voice message to return my call, this was also ignored. I sent a number of text messages asking for a reply of any kind and confirmation that my daughter could not receive lessons at this Institute seeing was ignored. If this is how Victoria treats potential new clients it reflects on her services as a business person not a musician. All reviews prior to mine are 5 star ratings, my experience with the Inner West Institute of Music was a one star rating and that was for the one and only time i received a reply as a potential client. Very poor service and i have never experienced such appalling customet service. I have since found a private teacher for my daughter.John G

Victoria was extremely helpful in finding my 12 year-old son a new alto sax teacher at short notice and Leah Chiarella has been fantastic. Leah is extremely competent but also makes the lesson fun and my son retains what she teaches. He has improved a lot, learns new things, advances at a good pace and most of all, he really enjoys his lessons. I highly recommend Leah as a sax teacher and Victoria's commitment and direction of the school. The regular concerts are also great - they are enjoyable for the students and a great tool for them to become used to performing. Our experience here has been great.
