The lamb korma and lamb roganjosh were very tasty. Rice fluffy and naan yummy. The samosas were also good. Service was great

Food was reasonable. The manager was not interested in his business. On the phone for almost an hour. We returned the masala tea but he never got up to come inquire. Owners should look into his poor management skills.

The food used to be great but we were severely disappointed this time. Both dishes lacked the depth of flavour expected of Indian cuisine, and the chicken as well as the lamb were overcooked and dry throughout. The naan seemed smaller than usual, but tasted good. The bottle of sparkling water was warm, and the waiters weren't equipped to resolve the issue adequately. Our waiter seemed generally disinterested. He seemed too cool to be a server. There seemed to be more than enough servers in duty, but our waiter seemed quite absent. After dinner the manager enquired if we were happy with the food. We reluctantly expressed that we weren't, and explained the issues. To his credit he dealt with the situation very well. We're unsure that we'll try The Raj again - even if the food improves in quality as the service made the evening rather unpleasant.

I really enjoyed our food experience at The Raj. The prices were ok and the alcoholic beverage prices were also affordable. The location is fantastic and close to all the vibrant surrounding spots. The butter chicked and samosas were to die for with amazing authentic flavours. I will recommend them if your in the area and in the mood for some lovely Indian cuisine.

We wanted authentic Indian and we had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was top-notch. Our waiter, Alex, looked well after us and was very entertaining and friendly. Compliments to the chef, the Rogan Josh is unforgettable with the garlic and butter naan. Will definitely come back again!

For location , this place deserves 5 star. For quality and quantity, 3 star. Overpriced when considering the quality and quantity of food and also the fact that the curries are not accompanied by rice. The per person dinning experience here is over R200( one drink, and one curry with either rice or bread). The staff is friendly and very welcoming.

Be aware of this restaurant billing system. We experienced 2 extra items on the bill which were never been served, unfortunately we discovered it when already at our residential hotel. Also this restaurant will robb you with simple mineral water. They charge R85 for a simple 750ml bottle of water where you can buy 1.5 litre of mineral water from Game shop with less than 10 Rands.Food taste are just average not any extraordinary,They will charge you 10%service charge if more than 6 in your group and you will experience a begging attitude for so called gratuity on top of that service charge. We were 14 people in our group, I don't think any of us will ever visit to that restaurant again.I wish to give them negative 5 star if possible.

I took my daughter's out for Dinner to this establishment . Food and everything was really great , Out waitress who was a very nice young lady was so busy making sure that her clients at the tables she was looking after was taken well care off. I then requested from two other male waiters to bring me the bill and they acknowledge. 6 minutes later I was still waiting. I looked and signald to them again for the bill and they Blatantly ignored me. Our own female lady waitress one could see had her hands full while the other two lads was busy dancing at the bar area. What a Disgrace on those two male waiters . If you don't want to work , go lay at home . Don't waste your own time and the businesses money. If you were employed by me , you would have been worked out " Period. I hope the Owner of this business will realize that he / she cannot have Lazy people working for and with him."
