Madikela Private Game Reserve

Perfect to get away from the city. Jacuzzi is nice and hot. Pool to cool down. Wild animals. Week is just long enough. Go there every year.

Wonderful, peaceful, all at our own pace. If you nèed to break away from city life I highly recommend thit getaway. Watch the sunrise everymorning. Awesome.

Lovely place to take your family to relax, Would recommend you to use GPS as the board is not visible from the tar road. They have Putt-putt, Swimming pool, baby pool, Pool table.We stayed at the Sunbird cottage and the bathroom to me was very modern as well as the kitchen. although I am not a personal fan of a gas stove, they have all the basic needed kitchen utensils.The jacuzzi was my favorite, and your yard is closed off, so your little ones can play outside without having to worry that they may wonder off.The Reception area was under construction, so upgrades are in process.

Most wonderful time. Thanks to Carol and Chris for the great reception .The place is well kept and clean. Friendly staff and very helpfull. We will be back and I commend this resort to any one that need a break from the city.

Absolutely stunning place in complete isolation, ideal for couples. We stayed in the Flintstone cottage and for 3 days we saw no one else but each other. Bare in mind that you wont really see animals from your room view. But nevertheless an excellent place to relax and rejuvenate.

Loved our stay! Perfect place to unwind and rest out. Chalets are adequately equipped and very clean. View was exceptional, loved our own jacuzzi on the stoep. Enormous shower head and beautiful bathroom

Lovely peaceful and beautiful place to visit. I was there with 4 of my nieces and I will have to make sure we go there again!

So quiet and peaceful, very close to nature and the solar jacuzzi makes for a relaxing getaway

We stayed in Bushwillow cottage and absolutely loved our weekend at Madikela.The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. There are upgrades in process to accommodate for the never ending load shedding.The jacuzzi is amazing, clean and well maintained. We loved it!The reserve is incredible, with little spots all over to sit on a swing chair or picnic over looking the watering hole.It’s so wonderful to just walk out your cottage and walk off into the distance without worrying about anything and then walking straight into giraffe and zebras! We took a “short walk” that lasted 3 hours and if it wasn’t time to leave we would have just carried on exploring the reserve on foot and bumping into more wildlife as we went!Will definitely be back to try the other cottages that are more isolated.

Beautiful setting. Very tranquil. Chalets are private with warm jacuzzi.
