The restaurant should not claim to be portuguese the menu is full of different food which is far from portuguese. The seafood were not super fresh with lots of tub garlic the vegs are from a frozen pack and the waffels were just reheated. The place have potential, the ambiance and decor is lacking. It is well priced so you get what you pay for.

Was good but expected more. Loadshedding hit so couldnt get the seafood we wanted - nothing fried but thats not the restaurants fault. The snails were good and come recommended. The margharitas were well prepared but NOT in a margaritha glass and they skimp on the quantity. We were charged R30 extra to fill the glass closer to the brim thats normally acceptable! Get with the times!UPDATE: Spoke with owner and eveything was made clear! Thanks

We eat out Portuguese restaurants regularly, as restaurants of choice. We were very happy so discover a “Portuguese” restaurant in Greyton. The food, however, was inedible and was in no way Portuguese. The peri-peri chicken had no spice and flavour, and had nothing peri peri about it whatsoever. Upon complaint, the chef’s recommendation was to use a spicy tomato sauce. The house steak was tough and not enjoyable. The restaurant had no extraction, meaning that the door had to be left open on a very cold evening. Very disappointing.

Great food and chilled vibe in the beautiful town of Greyton. Lovely meat, fish and vegan options as well as a large variety of drinks available. The pastas and chicken liver starters were delicious.

Service, ambience, food, altogether experience - fantastic. It was an unforgettable and intimate dinner at Silvano’s in a group that showed us the beauty in supporting independent restaurants and the value that you find within :) xx

Great venue, especially up on the deck with a view of the mountains! Service was very friendly and food was delicious. Highly recommend the Gorgonzola snails and Garlic Prawns.

Service was excellent - our waitress was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating of my requests. My partner ordered the chicken prego and wedges, which he enjoyed. I ordered the garlic prawns which I thought were average (lacking in flavour, sauce a bit thin and shy on flavour, small prawns). For dessert, we shared the waffles. It was very tasty, a good portion size, and kindly cut in half for us to share, but arrived a bit on the cold side.

Located opposite Pure Café, Silvano's caters to the lunch and dinner crowd looking to enjoy a glass (or three) of wine with their vegan meal. The restaurant is mainly omnivorous, but boasts an extensive vegan menu. The chef/owner has clearly done his homework. We chose a pasta on his recommendation and we weren't disappointed. So much of delicious it was. He also has two vegan-friendly wines to choose from: False Bay and Delphin. We had the False Bay and found it really tasty. (Can you say tasty about wine?)

Very nice little Portuguese restaurant in Greyton. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the creamy garlic mussels. The source was so nice that I had to ask for another Portuguese roll. My husband had the Cajun calamari and chips. He loved it. Very well priced, we will definitely be back.
