Although the restaurant appeared empty, all of the tables were reserved but the waitress did manage to fit us in by. The iced coffee was especially delicious with the barista striking the perfect balance with the sweet from the honey and retaining the flavour of the espresso. The roast beef bagel was also delicious although I did find the bagel to be on the dry side. May have been perfect if it was toasted instead. Rounded off with a refreshing green salad. Should you decide to check them out, I recommend you phone ahead to avoid being turned away at the door.

On the spur of the moment we decided to pop in for lunch at LUST Bistro & Bakery, located on the beautiful Vrede & Lust Wine Estate. They have a nice outside area perfect for warm days, but there is also an inside seating area for the colder ones. We decided to sit outside and I was glad to see that they had misters which helped to cool us down. Their menu has a range of different options available as well as wines from the farm which is always nice. We got a bottle of Rosé to share for the table and I opted for their beef burger for lunch. It tasted nice and fresh, and the others in the group also enjoyed their meals. The service was also good, the waitress was friendly and I am very glad that we decided to pop in.

We were there for Mother's Day, the mothers were welcomed with a glass of bubbly and orange juice. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The burgers were delicious. I will be back for the pizza with the thin crust and generous toppings. The manager/owner (unsure) was actively working and he assisted an elderly lady down the ramp, which was very kind, that is always great to see. We will be back.

We held our son's 30th birthday at Lust Bistro on Saturday. It was a huge success, and the staff were largely resonsible for this.Nothing was too much effort, they were friendly, efficient and so helpful. From the planning phase to the execution - everything was done with enthusiasm and a good dose if humour. The food was excellent too.Overall a good vibe and place to go for something like this.

Visited for mother's day and the food blew me away. Impeccably presented and perfectly cooked. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating available, depending on weather. Situated close to the Franschhoeck wine route and an easy 40 minute drive from Cape Town. Ample parking and top amenities.

Fantastic; we had breakfast here a week ago or so, and it was fantastic. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. The service was very good and we were treated well. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try, and we'll be back whenever we can.

Surprisingly Lust Bistro and Bakery was open today for lunch after we searched severeal restaurants in rhe area that was xcloses due to covid19.The waiters are very friendly. All tables and chairs arw disinfected before you sit down. They even wrap your cutlery in a sealed plastic bag to prevent any contamination. We ordered thw 28cm Canjun chicken pizza to share and washes it down with redreshing local craft beer on tap. Though the pizza was delicious for is it ia not worth paying R150. Why? Few small piecea if chicken, thin filling and half an avo in rhe middle. We also saw some of the burgers they served at R150. Hmmm bit prizy according to us.Coffee is very nice and strong. The red velvet cake is a bit dry and I personally dis nor like the fresh cream feisting on top and inbetween the cake layers. My partner enjoyed his baked cheese cake. The slices tiny for the usual R45 per slice. The wine tasting area looks relaxing with a nice view of the mountains and you can take a relaxing stroll through their beautiful garden.

Came here for lunch and was well served by a helpful and smiley waiter named Simon. He went the extra mile to check everything was in order and that we were satisfied. They put in an effort too to make my Dads birthday special and one to remember. The food was absolutely delightful, I had the build your own sandwich (named the sandwich boss), which is fantastic, especially if you're picky about what you eat. The pizza was also lovely, with a thin base and a variety of options for toppings, also good for picky eaters (or younger children) My father was very impressed with the fish of the day, well cooked with a nice combination of vegetables with the fish and was overall a wonderfully tasty dish. The food was beautifully presented on the plate and the wait to be served was not long at all, especially when busy. The pizza and bread had gluten free options too for an affordable price. Their menu has options for everyone, while not being so extensive as to overwhelm you with choices. They have a variety of drinks, including wines from their vineyard, cold drinks, coffees and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It's good to note they do not usually allow you to bring your own wine, but there are plenty of great wines to choose from on their list. They have a few options for freshly pressed juices too. (I also loved that they used biodegradable straws!)There was beautiful scenery and although hot, sitting outside was comfortable and shaded. My order (build your own sandwich/sandwich boss) was ciabatta with white cheddar, basil pesto, avocado and chicken which I definitely recommend. It came to R124. I also had the orange, ginger and carrot juice which I enjoyed very much.Overall definitely a 5 star experience and definitely recommend for a light to medium lunch.
