Like it or not, often when a woman goes into a place like this they are either treated as second class citizens or taken advantage of.I'm happy to report that this is not the case at On Tap Hillcrest. Professional, friendly, helpful and honest. They could have sold me three parts but were honest enough to suggest buying one to be sure first. What an absolute pleasure to shop here.I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I would have preferred not to rate it because of what they have done to my mom I have never heard of. My mom bought two Victoria and Albert bath tubs last year July. They delivered one because she decided to do one bathroom at a time. The one tub was full price and one was 50% off from R29 990 to R14 990. She paid both tubs in full. She later bought sink and shower mixers. She came back to get a quotation for the toilet and the vanity. On tap spoke to my mom for delivery because the tub has been there for quite some time. At last they agreed on the date for delivery. They say they couldn’t get hold of my mother on the day of delivery. According to my mom she received a WhatsApp from them of which she responded and apologized for missing their calls.Last week she went there to arrange for delivery. They told her that they have sold her tub because they could not get hold of her. By the way they know where my mother stays because they have delivered there before. They have WhatsApped her before and finally they have her email address because they have emailed her before. Yes we do accept that it has been long that the bath has been there with them my mother not collecting it. The question is why did they not communicate with her via email, WhatsApp nor go to where we stay and leave a note at the gate giving an ultimatumHow do you sell property that is not yours. An item that was paid in full because it is no longer theirs. My thought is that they should have charged her for storage but you can’t sell a property that is not yours.Now they are offering her another one but they want her to pay the difference. She has refused to do that. They are quiet now we don’t know what they are up to.It is sad to be woman and Black staying in white dominated areas because at On tap Hillcrest they felt that my mother does not deserve Victoria and Albert bath tub. Imagine they have a lame excuse that two days after my mom bought the tub there was another customer who wanted to buy it. So a year later the custom came back to check if she has not collected the tub so they decided to sell it to her. We have been to shops where you find out that the item you want was the last one and it’s sold, you don’t come back to ask if it has been collected or not. It is only if the good has been put aside not paid for that would check if it has been paid. If not then you can pay for it because it is not anybody’s property.We are very disappointed by the conduct. Infact disappointment is an under statement it does not explain how we feel as a family.Black woman you are own your own. Black women rights matter.
