This is the worst company experience ever. especially dealing with this guy Andrian Francis very rude and constantly changing stories and lying i have the proof in emails. My car was involved in an accident I was left paralyzed and my car was written-off by a bus company insured by them. I submitted everything they needed from receipts to quotes etc. he said they are all not proof they will not pay for items I lost in my car they wont pay for money I ended up using for towing. Storage etc. because of the accident i was unable to graduate because i couldn't write two modules due to being hospitalized. he just made up the value of my car and at some point had to send me the document from Transunion that's when i found out the value of my car was R33 850 although he said it was R30000. I haven't been paid my family has been suffering lost m business all thanks to IUM .

If I can give zero stars I would. Absolutely appalled by how you do business. I took out insurance with them in August 2022 for my track bike. Unfortunately I had a crash on track, which they cover. They approved the claim and the bike was fixed. The bike was insured for R392k, the claim was only R79k. I noted that the bike will be ridden at most about 8 days a year, because I work abroad. So for the next 6 month I enjoyed cover, only to be told today my policy will be cancelled because of the loss value ratio. Basically saying unfortunately we have not collected enough premiums from you before you ad an accident, therefore we need to cancel the policy. This is absolutely disgraceful how they conduct business. I did not even consider to change insurance companies because I was happy with how smooth the claim process went. Just bought 2 other bikes I wanted to add to my policy and now this. Shocking!

Absolutely disgusted with this insurance company, they have refuted a valid claim I submitted, the true show of an insurance company is when a claim is submitted and they've proved to be appalling! They sent my car to a panel beaters TEN DAYS then claim theres nothing wrong with my vehicle (it had already been assessed by Lexus and they confirmed the problem with the vehicle) and they claim that since the BB Panelbeater's (another appalling company) weren't competent enough to discover and fix the problem its simply not there?? We are not accepting this and I warn future customers do NOT sign with IUM unless you want to pay premiums AND for your own repairs from a very incompetent company!

A TRULY GREAT SERVICE EXPERIENCEIUM has exceeded my expectations when dealing with my motor vehicle claim. There was no need for me to take my car to a panel beater for a quote.They assessed my vehicle damage the same day using an app I had to download, and the whole assessment to 15 minutes.I was regularly updated on the progress of my repairs and the whole process was seamless.Well done IUM, you are a true example of how clients should be treated.

The company works via brokers, which is frustrating. I have changed a broker but still am not happy with turn-around times. The broker has only one assistant/agent.Also, in less than 6 months my excess for devices was increased from 0 to R1,500 just because i claimed 2x. I am worried though whether a car accident will be handled well, because of delays by brokers.Currently I am unhappy that they added what they say is compulsory power surge cover, without giving me any notice.Secondly, I got a 2nd car 3 days ago, and still struggling to finalise the cover, because the broker has only one agent. I even called IUM directly, in frustration, but was referred back to broker. I have moved the 2nd car, plus Contents and all risk, to Auto and Gen which is reliable and accessible all hours.

My car was bumped by a 3rd Party that was insured with IUM I logged a claim on the 3rd of August with Mont Blanc who was the broker they submitted all the documentation to IUM on the 23rd of August. I have sent everything they asked for and I've called to follow up for the past month. I'm tired of being the one running around trying to find out what's going, they never update you on anything. IUM has the worst customer service.I had the worst kind of experience with Adrian Francis! He fails to do what is employed to do, Its been over a months since I am waiting for him to get back on my claim, he is not a good communicator he does not reply to emails and when you call him he is rude and abrupt.
