I am nearing the end of my Immersive Full Stack and Software Engineering bootcamp with HyperionDev, and the experience has been spectacular! With this bootcamp, I have learnt so much more about front-end and back-end web development and software engineering than what I would have learnt on my own. The course is structured very well and progressively gets more complex, as every new task builds on the concepts from previous tasks and you begin to see how everything fits together. The mentors and code reviewers are very knowledgeable and are very willing to help you if you are stuck on a task. I also appreciate the fact that the mentors and code reviewers always give you constructive criticism regardless of whether you get 100% for a task or less. I am very excited to soon be assisted by HyperionDev's career services to enter the job market upon submission of my final task.

Bootcamp was very helpful. Learnt a lot. Great learning experience, the additional readings were very helpful. The support team has a very prompt response. The reviews from lectures are very descriptive and help you in refining your work. The discord channel is also helpful when you are stuck.

I enrolled in the Data Science boot camp part time option. The flexibility of assignment deadlines really made it a lot easier to complete the course work while working full time. The course content is well written and teaches Data Science step by step with an assignment after each topic to check understanding. The communication and feedback from mentors is timely and helpful. This has been hugely appreciated after all the struggles I experienced studying through UNISA.I'd highly recommend HyperionDev boot camps for anyone looking to get into the field of Data Science or web development.

I took the part-time Software Engineering bootcamp and my experience has been great. I enjoyed the content of the work. Some tasks were challenging but I had mentors, lecturers and other students to assist. The student support at HyperionDev was the best I've encountered. A big thanks to them!

Even DfE-funded courses that you don't personally pay for are not worth it with this company. All you get is a dropbox folder full of PDFs, and most of them are full of mistakes, out of date, or just shoddy. It's really hard to get any support or to get things fixed or clarified (honestly - you would not expect a tech company to have so many bugs). A big plus for me was the community in the official Discord server, but they deleted chat channels because they didn't like us sharing issues. Because of that, they don't make servers for other groups, so you don't even get the benefit of that community. I advise anyone to learn elsewhere. Lots of the tasks are generic anyway, and some even outright copied from the elsewhere on the internet. I'm writing a long complaint to the DfE and my MP because taxpayer money should not be going to this business.

I do not recommend this institution, there is better content in Udemy courses for way less than a Quarter of the price. The structure of the course is unorganized as lessons are only taught after you are required to do the task. The chance of you getting an entry level job is very low after doing the course as they do not teach you enough content. The mentors are overworked with meetings booked weeks in advanced, and there is an average of 1 - 2 weeks wait time for assistance as there are no slots open. Assistance is basically none existent. I do not blame the mentors as they have a number of students to mark. I blame the institution for biting off more than they can chew. Having finished the course more than a year ago, I did not have enough experience to do the job that I have now. I spent days studying and learning off Udemy courses and other sources which gave me the knowledge and confidence to do the job.

Terrible scam. The student support is basically non existent, and they lie about getting jobs upon graduating. The content is also riddled with spelling mistakes. Absolute money-making scheme.

I’m starting off with this so you aren’t confused because I’m the only bad review:They bribe students with TakeAlot vouchers for good reviews.I wasted almost R100k on this company. After doing the most comprehensive course, not even HyperionDev themselves will employ me in IT.Their courses have no weight in the industry. They never send you your NQF5 certificate even though I have requested it MULTIPLE TIMES. It’s a scam!Don’t waste your money on this school that is completely self taught. They use pdfs to teach you and are never available to mentor you! Rather go to a different school who actually teach you. The course material is so useless I used YouTube to pass!

I have learnt a lot of skills from the Software Developer Bootcamp and it was definitely worth the money. The skills are job related and are presented in a way most people would be able to understand. The mentors are very knowledgeable and they really help you to work through and understand difficult concepts. Anyone looking to upskill themselves should definitely use HyperionDev

The internet is full of courses and info and it is so worth it to have mentors and a proper curriculum to follow and learn from, i greatly appreciate the team at hyperion and am very happy that i started my programming journey with them. The careers day hosted by the careers team was top notch, the support and attitude from the staff is top notch, if you are a proactive learner you will love hyperion.The tasks can be difficult but are also staggered so that they are managable, remember to review past work to aid in retention it is alot to learn and you will need to put in more time than you think. Because the tasks can be difficult they are also very fullfilling when complete and worth doing! Hyperion does not waste your time by having you do anything that will not aid your growth as a programmer.
