What a sheet company. If only I could vote -10 (vote against). I moved into a property May 2015 and the property that I moved into was not in good condition at all. I had reported multiple times regarding the maintenance issues we were experiencing at the property, and every time a maintenance guy came out, they never did a good job. I told Alcus about this and they would always say if something goes wrong I should report it back to them, and guess what something always went wrong and I would report it all the time. It got to a point where I was tired of reporting these issue as a proper fix would never be put in place. When I was moving out in April this year (2019), they said they were going to charge me for the same maintenance issues I had been reporting, yet a proper fix was never put in place whenever they called out someone to the do the fix. Alcus Properties is just a sheet company that aims to fix properties with peoples deposit's.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Rely to the Owner:I informed you guys multiple times about the issues I was experiencing and it got to a point where I got tired of reporting as proper fixes were never put in place. At one point I informed you guys about this, but I was told to sign anyway, and if something happens again I should report it. So I didn't have the time to be reporting things that were never fixed properly from the start. Highly unreasonable.

Incredibly unprofessional company and people. I have been going back and forth for 2 weeks to try and view a property that is listed as available to rent. Not only was I never able to view the property but Marilyn never kept me updated or gave any feedback whatsoever. Her only responses were as a result of me having to ask over and over again for feedback, and last minute messages before I was supposed to view telling me I no longer could... and then the property is suddenly unavailable. I wouldn't mind if the tenant decided to stay on, as Marilyn now claims. My issue lies in the complete incompetence and lack of interest in their clients. After reading the other review about the company online I see I am not the only one displeased. Incredibly bad service and then empty excuses. I definitely would not recommend this company at all.

I had an investment property that was managed by Alcus for a couple of years after making the mistake of attempting to manage the property on my own. They are extremely professional, responsive and always available for both me and the tenants I had over the years. Their rates are very competitive in comparison to the service you receive. I will most certainty use them again in the future and gladly refer them to anyone.

This is probably by far the worst experience we have had with any type of service.Lets start, on the 5th of March 2019 we went to view a unit in Deo Agathos, at first we saw that the unit would need ALOT of maintenance before it would be ready to move in as the agent explained to us that the unit has been empty since last year June 2018 and had no type of maintenance since then. We decided the next day 6th of March 2019 that we want to rent the unit knowing that they had a month to prepare before we could move in. The 7th of March 2019 we signed the contract and sent it through on 8 March 2019 as the agent explained to us that someone else was also interested and we needed to hurry to secure the unit, the same day we were approved to rent. The 14th of March 2019 we met with the agent to do an inspection on the unit. We did the inspection and went through everything with the agent, we arranged to move in on the 30th of March 2019. As we were a soon to be newly wed couple we had no furniture or appliances, we spent the next few weeks arranging and preparing EVERYTHING from furniture to appliances and delivery services as well as internet connection etc so everything will be ready for the day we move in. While busy arranging a wedding so the stress was alot. We came back from honeymoon on 27 March 2019 while my husband put in extra leave for the next 2 days to make final arrangements for our new place. We arranged with the agent as we had to do the final inspection on the 29th of March 2019 at the unit, the agent knowing that NOTHING was done did not communicate a word to us only to arrive at the place discovering that NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING was done at the unit. This totally UNACCEPTABLE. They are very quick to take a massive deposit aswell as the first months rent but no service was delivered !! We now have to cancel ALL our arrangements, money and alot of time we spent on deliveries and Internet connection fees, we have to arrange and spend extra money for temporary accommodation while we have nowhere to go etc. No solution or compensation from the agent have been presented for the massive inconvenience and costs that was occurred to us. Please note that the maintenance that has to be done to this unit is not a 2 day job or even a week! I have never been this angry and disgusted at the type of service that we have received! My advice to anyone would be to stay as far away possible from this company!!

This company is not even worth 1 star. The most pathetic service ever from a rental agency. They steal money. I see since last year they did not reply on one review, I wonder why, because they are thieves. They take your money and that is it. My kids were suppose to move into one of their rental units. When they went for the final inspection before moving in not a finger has been lifted to clean or do any maintenance to the place. Not even a hobo would move into the place in the state it is at this moment. Now they are refusing to pay back my kids money. I suppose they've spend it already and is not able to pay it back. Be ashamed man

4 months after your 'maintanance' used up most of the tenant's deposit. When will I receive the outstanding money? Or are you also not dept collectors?Where the tenant can breach the contract and the landlord can get and eviction order.

(29/03/2019) me and my wife had a pre-scheduled appointment for the final inspection for the new place we were planning on starting to move in the next day (30/03/2019) to Deo Agathos, Unit 116.There were no words to explain the anger and, even more so, the extreme disappointment we felt when we walked into the yard to see that nothing has been done to make the place livable in any sense.We had previously found out when seeing the place for the first time (05/03/2019), that the unit hasn't been occupied for +/- 8 months.Apart from all the other issues that the appartment had picked up over this long time of not being occupied and receiving any form of maintenance, the unit was crawling with spiders, dead cockroaches, a hornet's nest and even mango flies in the yard.The yard itself was overgrown with bushes, weeds and tree brances covering the entire yard.We were fine with this, as we agreed that the place would be fixed up, made ready and livable by the weekend before 01/04/2019 to give us convenient time for the move.So 24 days passed and on the day of the final inspection, not a single thing had been done. The place is unlivable, hazardous and plainly disgusting in the condition it was and still is in.No person can be expected to be fine with the situation we are put in at this stage.We rushed and used our own leave days to organise and plan everything to be ready for the move on 30/03/2019.We took out a data contract on the unit, organised delivery for appliances and even organised our usual domestic to come in early in the morning to make sure the place is clean and help with the cleaning as we move in.This situation and conditions are unacceptable!There is in no way possible that the appartment and yard will be made safe and livable by 01/04/2019 when our contract starts and therefore this alone is a breach of the contract agreement.Not even to mention the cancelation fees of the newly taken out data contract on the unit, cancelation fees of delivery of appliances, storage fees for the new appliences, compensationfor the domestic workers traveling and labor fees, expenses for unexpected living arrangements that need to be made.My recommendation from personal experience is stay as far away possible.
