Acacia Bush Lodge
Overpriced. I would pay R400 per unit per night to sleep. This is all that there is to do.Quick overnight stop to somewhere.

The place is a representation of tranquilityThe food was deliciousRooms were clean and spaciousThe only downside is the road leading to the venue, there's a scary bridge to cross.

We stayed in a cabin for a weekend. Lovely setting, super relaxed atmosphere. Felt nice and alone. A wedding did happen while we were there but didn't negatively influence our experience at all. Really affordable and neat interiors.

The accommodation was beautifully furnished and luxurious. A perfect place to rest and unwind, with the feeling of being in a nature reserve. The hosting and service was phenomenal. Thank you Acacia for an amazing stay!

Where do I begin, Acacia Bush lodge exceeded my wildest expectations. Both with amazing accommodation and the way they made my wedding the best day of my life. Erica is like a fairy God mother that every bride needs. You will never regret, the decor, the food, the environment. They brought a vision I never had to life. The service is very personal with very friendly staff. It's very tranquil in the heart of the KZN Midlands. It is very spacious and has such beautiful gardens and a rock pool, perfect for wedding pictures.I'd choose Acacia over and over again, thank you for making my day memorable ♥

Overpriced. The pictures look amazing but in reality not truthful.Situation....... in a terrible area. Not safe for women on their own to drive through this area to reach destination.Bedding smells dirty.Leaking toilet. No noise after 10.00pm, guests party till after 3 am.My stay was not pleasant at all.

Having a 2 star hotel rating doesn't mean the place has to be unkept and untidy. Also being in the bush" is not an excuse as I have stayed in both previously and it wasn't this bad. Also be warned the road to get to this place at night is very dark and dingy. There was dirt on the bed sheets; 2 single beds were combined with a blanket in the middle to make a King and the bed sheet was from a double bed; curtains didn't even fit windows properly; TV chords looked like a mess; the general appearance of the floors and outside were not good as well. These are things that can be attended to very quick even if you on a tight budget. I think the owner should spend a night in each of the cabins to experience what I am talking about.By all means check it out for yourself but we certainly wont return!"

We Stayed at Acacia Bush lodge over the weekend of 6-7 November 2015. The wooden bungalow was clean with a king size bed in the main living area. Despite a sheet that had a few small holes in it, the bed was comfortable and we had no complaints on that front. The second bedroom was very small and had a bunk bed in it, best suited to small children I suspect, luckily we did not need to use it. The bathroom too was clean and pleasant enough despite the minute shower. The kitchen and crockery is very basic, hence don't expect to do much more than the very minimum. The television kept on loosing signal and/or refusing to change channels. In spite of reporting the problem at reception and them coming to have a look, the problem persisted, but we did not bother to go and report the problem again. All in all, a pleasant enough stay. I would think the location would be much more appealing if it were not for the server drought which resulted in the rock pool water being low and the pumps off as well as associated dead foliage. The accommodation would be well suited to a small family with up to two children who wanted to be on the outskirts of town.
