THEO'S TAVERNA
Such a happy, lovely eatery. The decor very well thought out and makes you feel as if you are sitting in Greece having an authentic Greek meal. The long table under the tree in the courtyard is stunning. Will be wonderful for a family gathering. We enjoyed the food very much. Tasty and well presented. The drink was a bit slow in coming especially the mocktails. My friends wine was almost finished before my drink arrived. Service was otherwise very friendly and efficient.

Gorgeous, authentic Greek meal of Dolmades, courgette fritters, Greek salad and gyros. Staff wonderfully friendly , nice wine list, and enigmatic owner. Come here, you won't be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Theo's. Portion size was good; the staff are all incredible; prices are fair - and the food: amazing. I don't even have the words to describe how good their fries are - you will just have to go and try them. [We've also recently ordered take-out from Theo's, which was just as great.]

Delicious food served in a Greek themed restaurant. We were served by Neale who explained the menu to us, made some great recommendations and was very friendly. We got the halloumi to start and both agreed it was the best we'd ever had. I got the vegetable moussaka and my husband got the souvlaki with lamb and both were incredible. Would highly recommend this place!

We can only praise Theo and his team for the brilliant execution of an effort to create authentic Greece.The moment we entered the tavern, we experienced all of this at its best - from the decor, music, vibe, friendly staff and jolly hum to the variety of tasty Greek dishes on the menu. For a couple of hours we were carried away to a lovely spot in south-eastern Europe. We were really delighted with the whole experience. The tavern is a wonderful addition to Hermanus' dining scene and we will definitely book our place there regularly. Many thanks and best of luck for the future.Michelle and family

I wish I could give even more than 5 stars! We just love this place - simply the BEST Greek Food (authentic) you will find possibly in the entire Western Cape (maybe I'm just being biased).From the booking process, and asking if the Evil Eye drink is available (getting the last two of the day), the food, atmosphere - everything!Highly recommend Theo's Taverna!

Loved the my steak, the tomato, feta, garlic was awesome (can't think what they named it) wish they gave it as a side so i could of added to the roast potatoes. Great craft beer on tap, great wine list overall great experience thanks guys

I can wholly recommend this restaurant. Anyone coming to Hermanus must try it for its authentic food and welcoming staff and atmosphere. Many people attempt to replicate their home country whilst abroad, Theo's have certainly done this. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service is prompt and warm. Atmosphere inside and outside has a real vibe. Their winelist is one of the best in Hermanus and supports many of the local wine farms on their list. Mark ups on their wine is very reasonable and many can be purchased by the glass.Owner Theo is very welcoming and personally greets all customers but is not overpowering.

A very pleasant tradional Greek Resturant with a pleasant layout. The tradional music played takes you to many of the Greek islands and just enhances the ambience. Oh and the food is awesome
