Beautiful views, well maintained park. It takes a while to get there so start early to have enough time for ziplining and the bridge and picnics

Naturally beautiful place. However the road to get there is terrible. Very corrugated, shakes up the whole car all the way. Even if it's a provincial road they should show some courtesy to their clients they should take the initiative to sort out the road. Even their internal roads need repair. Considering you pay R60pp as day trippers they making a whack but not appreciating their clients.

Still one of the most relaxing game reserves, accommodation is clean tidy and well appointed. The restaurant has a good menu at reasonable rates. The service at the reserve is friendly and professional. Even on a Sunday afternoon when making a booking online, immediate response via email and all questions answered the same afternoon. Well done on that, by the way Lake Eland .

I loved everything about my stay at Lake Eland. It is only when you take that break do you realise how much you needed it. Getting up to the morning silence overlooking the lake is amazing. The drives were wonderful and relaxing and can be done with any vehicle. There are also separate 4x4 trails if you up to it. The kids hiked all weekend. The trails were safe. I especially loved the animals walking around freely at night. I'd visit lake eland as often as I can. You dont need to pack too much of food as the restaurant caters for everyone especially vegetarian visitors like myself. Cleanliness is 5/5 throughout the reserve accommodation and trails. With all this said I wouldn't ask anymore questions I'd be on my way already lol. Have fun if you're on your way.

as an ex-staffer I am biased, but I have been back! the Zip Line is one of the best in the world, the waterside self-catering chalets are superb, and the day-time restaurant has great value. Book NOW.
