The park isn't well taken care of. It looks abandoned by those whom it concerns. People use it. I once attended a good event there. It's good for picnics but shades are limited. Watch out for thorns.

The park is a good chilling place, as much as south Africa is a democratic country, which allows people to be where ever they want whenever they wish.The park in most times you will feel unsafe and uncomfortable due to lot of smokers that hang around the park. But besides that its a wonderful place to unwind just need access to drinkable water and safe toilets
