You can't be closer to nature than here. Had an absolute wonderful stay at the Silver Birch cabin at Hogrock Falls. If you're looking for a getaway from the city and people, this is it. It feels as if the cabin is floating above the trees and you can hear the waterfall at all times. Even from your bed! The cabin is very rustic but it has everything you need. The cellphone reception is terrible but that did not bother us. Be aware that there are a lot of critters like rain spiders, but it was expected because of the location. Overall we had a lovely stay and it made me feel like a fairy in my own forest cottage.

⭐ 5/5 Star Experience, Couple’s Stay for 3x Nights in Copper Aloe CottageWhere to begin…“Hogrock Falls is a very special place, and the magic speaks to souls of those who are willing to listen.” This is something that Leigh told me as we were saying our goodbyes - and is so true about my & my boyfriend’s experience staying at this most-memorable place.First off, I would like to say a big & sincere thank you to our hosts Leigh & Kerry. Both Leigh and Kerry were so friendly and welcoming, just by their way of being you could see that they love Hogrock Falls and hosting people to share the magic of the place. Their attention to detail in their hosting, décor & catering is second-to-none – our stay was fantastic thanks to their hard work.My boyfriend & I booked 3x nights in the Copper Aloe Cottage. This cottage is SO special in its location, personality, energy, décor and more! It has memorable little quirks, which I will leave as a surprise for its new visitors. On a practical note, it was clean, comfortable, and cosy as can be. The bed slept like a cloud, we felt extremely rested each morning when we rose.Besides the comfortable bed, it was also because we slept to the calming sound of the waterfalls crashing. There are four BEAUTIFUL waterfalls right on the property, two within quick walking distance (2 minutes), and another two if you take a bit of a bundu-bashing hike. We visited the two main waterfalls many times throughout the day and had lots of laughs slipping and sliding our way to the two hidden waterfalls on one of the days.I would really like to recommend that if you visit, be sure to book a picnic at the waterfall. Our picnic at the waterfall was a major highlight of our stay, the spread was just beautiful and delicious and watching the waterfall flow while dining was so special. We also booked a brunch picnic at the gazebo above the waterfall, another amazing spread and experience.Speaking of food, both picnics were DELICIOUS – as were the 3x dinners we booked. We enjoyed our dinners so much, it was 5* food on an extremely reasonable budget – in the perfect setting. I would seriously recommend that all guests at least book 1 picnic and 1 dinner experience, you won’t regret it.Adding to the stay were the two resident pets, Cashew & Bailey. Cashew, the cat, greeted us every morning with meows and cuddles – she also joined us on some of our walks and sat in the area for dinner. Bailey, the dog, while shy, is so cute and friendly and I loved giving her pats when she let me.Overall, despite having travelled quite well both locally and abroad, our time at Hogrock Falls was one of my favourite experiences ever. Thank you, Kerry & Leigh, for making this experience possible through your special way of taking care of the place and sharing it with your guests. We will be back whenever we head to Hogsback!

My girlfriend and I have stayed in so many airbnb and accommodations all throughout SA, and this was truly my favorite experience of them all. Every aspect of our stay was extraordinary; the hosting, accommodation, location and food was all 5 star. Kerry and Leigh went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and the picnic setup at the waterfall was definitely my highlight of the trip. I could not recommend Hogrock Falls enough!!

My fiancé and I stayed at Hogrock Falls for my birthday weekend and had an absolutely amazing time. The Silver Birch cottage was perfect for us, with plenty of space for us and our dog, Juno. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the fireplace provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. We loved listening to the waterfall as we fell asleep at night. The cottage is located in a secluded spot in the forest, just a short walk from a waterfall.The cottage was also beautifully decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the loft bedroom, which had stunning views of the surrounding forest. We spent hours relaxing on the deck, enjoying the peace and quiet of the forest and admiring the starry night sky.The owners, Kerry and Leigh, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They even gave us some great recommendations for hiking trails in the area. They made us feel right at home, and they were always happy to give us recommendations for things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed our conversation with Leigh about the history of Hogrock Falls.We would highly recommend Hogrock Falls to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway. Hogsback is in the top places to visit in South Africa and this accommodation is the perfect place to experience it from. There are plenty of walks straight from the cottage, the views, sounds and surroundings are truly amazing. A very special place.

By far the best place to stay in Hogsback! My boyfriend and I are mad about nature and waterfalls so this place was perfect. The waterfalls are 2 mins walk from the cottages including Leigh told us how to get to the secret lovers" waterfalls on the property which was a highlight! It was my bf's birthday so we had supper prepared for us in the gorgeous wooden gazebo in the evening and it was so private and perfect
