Beira Mar Portuguese Restaurant
Tucked away in Kalk Bay, one can be forgiven for not quite noticing this little restaurant. It is a typical casual Portuguese restaurant where the staff and owner/managers are all so accommodating.Our group shared a starter of chicken livers and onion and a mixed green salad which was fresh and crispy. The chicken livers disappeared in seconds and all that was left to do, was mop up with a crispy roll.This was followed by a combo of Prawns & Calamari and a Peri Peri sauce. My sauce was a bit hot for me so do consider asking for it to be served separately. The garlic sauce was disappointing as it lacked garlic and tasted of margarine. The rest was excellent. The Calamari and Prawns were tasty and the prawns larger than I expected. Those who ate the Kingklip thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be back for another meal.

I enjoyed Beira Mar, great vibe and friendly owner. The chicken liver starter and seafood platter for one were both delicious! They do not serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own along for no corkage which is perfect.

It was the best seafood platter I have had in a long time. The service was brilliant and friendly. The food was out of this world. You can bring your own alcohol with no corkage. It makes a night out so affordable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back with friends.

Very wonderful place to go to in Muizenberg for a quick bite, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere right next to the beach. Authentic Portuguese cuisine and highly recommend with affordable prices.

Excellent place to visit. Views of the sea, owners and managers are involved with the clients like Portuguese do. Was impressed with every level of their service. No alcohol licence yet but there is a bottle store next door and no corkage is asked.These guys know their story. They bend over backwards. People come and spend family time here, typically a European feel.

Most amazing food we have had in a long time. Every bite was succulent and flavorful. Seafood, steak, chips and veggies everything was perfectly prepared. Service excellent, bill less than expected with a view over Kalkbay Harbour and the sea. This Restaurant does not sell alcohol, but no corkage charge for beer or wine. It was not just a meal but an experience I will never forget, but will definitely repeat. Well done to the owner, I think he has achieved the perfect balance for enjoyment. Will definitely return when in the area or make a special trip. Hidden gem.We celebrated my wife's birthday, so went slightly over the top. Food prices reasonable for what you get. Lot cheaper than most other restaurants in the False Bay area

Lovely clean Portuguese restaurant. The calamari tubes are very good, especially with the peri peri sauce. Steak is good value for money. Restaurant is not licensed, so bring your own drinks. No corkage charged. Friendly staff. Lovely experience. Will be back

Portuguese restaurant with nice views of the harbour. Order the Peri Peri chicken. Flame grilled to perfection. Super tasty. The grilled calamari starter was tasty. My kids had the deep fried chicken strips and chips, verdict was best ever.
