HiDoes this branch still exist?I have tried for the past hour and no one picks up the phone.

This is not directed at the Hermanus branch but at the company as a whole. After many occurrences of good service my last experience is shocking.I purchased a picture from a dealer in JoBurg. As an experienced dealer he packaged the picture well and covered it in Fragile stickers as well as writing clearly that the parcel should not be stacked or dropped. I was disappointed when I received notification from the Cape Town hub to say that the glass had been broken. They unpacked the parcel, removed the broken glass and repackaged it with a bit of bubble wrap.Liability for broken glass is denied deep in the terms and conditions. When the parcel arrived and I unwrapped it the frame was broken, the picture, a 100 year old print, was split and there were scuffs all over the surface, none of which were present in the photographs I was sent by the seller.The Courier Guy denies all liability for such woeful treatment of a parcel properly wrapped, covered in Fragile stickers and written advice. The long and the short of it seems to be that no matter how your parcel is packed, they can treat it as badly as they wish and deny any liability.I accept that no-one is perfect. What I do expect is that when something unexpected happens the person at fault takes responsibility and makes reparations. That displays integrity and despite the mishap I will continue to use them. The Courier Guy appears to be sadly lacking in this regard and I urge you to think very carefully before using their services.

They lied to me several times over the phone, package was late (it might not even be coming today) and overall appalling service. I would give 1 star but I'm keeping it at 2 just in case it actually comes.

We dropped off a parcel at Hermanus for overnight to Johannesburg, yesterday at 13:00. The parcel only went from the Hermanus branch at 8:45 this morning.

Pathetic service. They don’t deserve the a single star rating. They take 3 days to collect an overnight parcel and yes I am fully aware that Hermanus is a regional area and deliveries can take 48-72hrs, I have over 20 years courier experience something which this store clearly does not have. Don’t send customers voice notes confirming that the collection will be done and then it only gets done on the 3rd day! The best part is you get quoted a price online, pay it and then get told on day 2 of the parcel not being collected that you have to pay an additional fee. Bearing in mind nobody contacted me to inform me of the additional payment, if I had not called in and asked for an update I would’ve never known. Payment gets made immediately and the call centre agent then confirms collection should have been done anyway and that it will still be done the same day. When I requested an update later that afternoon, I get told the driver had already left the area and collection will only be done the next working day, making it day 3. Finally the parcel is collected on day 3, but it is too late as I will miss my deadline because of incompetent people and only receive the parcel next week Monday. That’s also an “if” there isn’t another delay. If I had known it was going to take this long I would’ve booked “Economy” and maybe that would’ve arrived within 3 days. Will I be expecting a full refund and compensation? Yes! Will my request be met? Obviously not! I don’t even think I will get a response to this review as I can clearly see they don’t care about customer service.

I PAID FOR OVERNIGHT COURIER AND IN THE END I HAD TO WAIT 7 DAYS FOR OVERNIGHT DELIVERY, IT COULD HAVE BEEN ON MY DOORSTEP ON FRIDAY ALREADY AS I PLANNED
