Was Neat and clean. Although the one bath and toilet in one house with 4 bedrooms was frustrating. Warm water was not enough. Cleaning ladies came in daily. You must bring exatra wood.

Historical accommodation. Could probably be brought into modern times with the addition of small things like wifi and a wider selection of TV channels .The caged birds detract as well.

After 12 years of regular stay over's...up to 4 nights a month ....all i can say is its just getting better....a lovely atmosphere...each cottage its own unique decor ....all essentials....clean and neat...my home away from home with a home cooked meal....

Not a nice place. Don't expect to meat the owner. Rooms are not clean layers of dust on the shelves oil stains on the table cloth and more you also arrange for a breakfast pascell as you would want to leave early staff informs you the will leave it in your room and the when you arrive there is nothing. I was told breakfast will be SERVED at 7:30 and that didn't happen only after 8:30. Breakfast is not that great

We phoned to book but getting to the security no one knew anything about it. She did give us a place to stay but the bedding was not clean. Very disappointing

If we are in the vicinity of Joubertina, we always stay at the Die Kraaltjie Guest house" because it is very nice and clean with friendly staff. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. The little restaurant is always available for perfect prepared meals."

Very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere! Breakfast very delicious and the coffee superb! Buy some pickeled quail eggs for your salads when at home!

We were desperate for a place to stay and was very grateful that die kraaltjie was available.I would, however, not recommend it. It was definitely pricey for what we recieved. The facilties were run down, didn’t appear very clean. It felt like we were overnighting in staff quarters. A bit of attention to detail (cleaning the dustbin outside, putting up a place to blow dry hair; a proper television, some proper cutlery) and some proper bedding could go a long way. It smelled like smoke, the braai grid wasn’t working.I understand why it was the only place with available space in town.

The person who runs this guesthouse is very unpleasant. Short off and has absolutely no people skills. It is not accessible at night it is very hidden. It is cash only. R420 for a single room for one person they had a kitchen and shower/bathroom. For two people in a single room it's R310. The shower was decent. The staff are lovely. It is not a place for leisure. The area is absolutely not an attraction.
