La Couturier Alterations

Thank you Tsu for altering my wedding dress. It needed a lot of work but Tsu breezed through it, she even allowed me to store my dress at her shop for over a year because of covid! She was very attentive and thorough. I was also a big fan of her online booking system which made it easy to organise follow up appointments. She did an incredible job and I would highly recommend her!

I went to Tsu to alter my pre-wedding shoot dress and wedding dress. Both times I left extremely satisfied.My pre-wedding shoot dress was 2-3 sizes too big because I had gotten it off the rack last minute. Tsu made it fit perfectly in around 2 weeks! (See first two pics)My body had changed quite a bit from the time I ordered my wedding dress to when I received it (2-3 weeks before the wedding) and I was frantic because it wouldn't go over my bum and was baggy in some areas... Brought it to Tsu again and she worked her magic. The dress fit perfectly when it was finished (see last two pics), was so comfortable to wear and Tsu went above and beyond to reinforce the zippers to give me peace of mind that the dress won't split open when I sit down.The whole process with Tsu was pleasant and I love that she listens to your wants while also giving honest feedback e.g. for my wedding dress, I couldn't decide between white or beige fabric to be placed under the lace panels on the thigh and bum areas, Tsu very patiently placed samples of both colours under the dress during my appointment and told me white looked better, so we went with that.She also took into consideration my body shape and reduced the puffiness of the sleeves so it wouldn't make me look too big.Thank you for having my best interests at heart! :)Tsu is very professional, at every appointment she will explain what she will do and get your approval for it on a signed contract before she starts working on the dress. I appreciate this transparency very much.When it comes to wedding dress alterations, you really get what you pay for. Both of my dresses had a lot of work to be done, but Tsu altered them to perfection despite the short timeframe I gave her. I paid a rush fee for both dresses, which was well worth it.I am extremely pleased with Tsu's workmanship and the quality of my experience, and will most definitely bring any dresses that require alterations to her again in the future.Thank you so much Tsu! :)

Tsu was kind enough to take my dress last minute and fix the issues after ordering online and losing too much weight.She did any excellent job and this bridesmaids dress will serve me well for both my cousins wedding and galas one the future. I'm very grateful to her

When I decided to get my dress made overseas, I knew I needed a trusted professional to help me through this process. Thankfully, Tsu was all that and more!She helped me with the initial body measurements to give to the dressmaker, all the way through to the final alterations and adjustments once the dress arrived. Working with her was a breeze and she made my whole dress process so easy and stress-free.Tsu's attention to detail is amazing, she helped make suggestions for adjustments I didn't even know I needed, and the final dress was all the more amazing because of her input. After many google searches trying to find the best alterations shop in Sydney, I picked La Couturier and I am so glad I did. Tsu was amazing from the first visit, right through until I picked up my dress. Her work is nothing but first class. My dress was extremely hard to work with due to the fabric but Tsu did an outstanding job at making it fit. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Tsu went above and beyond to make sure I had my wedding dress altered in time. The store I bought my wedding dress from held my dress from me and didn't give it to me until a month before my wedding. When I received the dress, it was so big on me and did not fit well at all. I was very stressed out but Tsu assured me that she would alter my dress in time. What should've been a 6 week job, Tsu did in 2 weeks. She stayed up very late nights and worked through the Christmas break to make sure my dress was done in time. I visited her a few times whilst she was altering my dress, despite the short time limit she had, she never rushed the job. She carefully hand picked the lace patterns and re-sewed them on. We had multiple fittings, she made 100% sure the dress fit me perfectly. I was extremely happy with her service, she really went out of her way to make sure I was happy with my dress. She also made me a veil which was absolutely beautiful. I have recommended Tsu's services to all of my friends, and every one of them have been so grateful I have introduced her to them. I cannot recommend her enough!

Tsu is an absolute expert. She is the only person who I would recommend going to, for any alterations to a dress that means a lot to you or is for a special occasion. Tsu is professional, friendly, warm and so knowledgeable of what alterations will not only suit your dress, but will also work with your body and make you look as amazing as possible. Tsu altered both an evening dress and my pre-wedding photo shoot dress - the work is impeccable and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for fitting me in and for all of your hard work!

If you want your dress to look perfect, Tsu will make it happen.I thought I only needed some length taken off my wedding dress until Tsu showed me how much better my dress could look. My off the rack dress was strapless and I have a decent size bust causing folds in the fabric around my waist. I thought it looked OK but was aware of constantly trying to adjust it to look just right.Tsu recommended additional boning through the bodice and tapering that resulted in my dress looking like it had been custom made for me. And, no photos of me hiking it up on the day!Looking at the photos from my wedding day makes me grateful for all the hard work you put into my dress - I can't thank you enough Tsu x

Contacted La Couturier Alterations two days before my wedding with an emergency dress situation (as the previous place who did my alterations completely botched it). Lady was very polite and understanding on the phone about my situation and booked an appointment for the next day. She worked on my dress all day and ensured me I would not be walking down the aisle without it. I could not have thanked her enough for her extreme efforts. Would definitely recommend this place for any type of alterations needed.
