The Barn Owl delivers one of the most surprising and unique experiences you can have.It is set in a beautiful environment... with spectacular views of nature.The restaurant itself is modern and open. The huge glass walls create a feeling of oneness with nature.The coffee that was served was delicious as was the breakfast.The service was friendly and welcoming!... thank you!This is the kind of place where you can spend hours just staring at nature whilst enjoying all the lovely treats served.

The Barn Owl Midlands.
An absolute gem of a place in Howick. Beautiful and tranquil countryside setting.They use fresh, unpasteurized milk from their own dairy. The resulting coffee and chai latte were delicious.Breakfast was simple but delicious. They have a small menu but everything on it sounds delicious. The carrot cake is absolutely delicious and is probably the best in Howick.They have absolutely beautiful gardens and the setting is second none. The service was impeccable and the staff are very friendly. COVID-19 protocols were adhered to at all times.This is a must see venue to visit for breakfast or brunch.

The Barn Owl Midlands has been on my bucket list for a while now and I was very lucky recently to finally visit this amazing destination.The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the building itself is very cool.So many opportunities to take interesting photos.The service was top notch and everyone is super friendly. Shout out to Prince for taking care of us.The highlight for us was the extensive vegan / vegetarian options on the menu.We felt included and taken care of.The vegan burger and vegan iced coffee was probably the best we've had in a very long time.Wish we could stay longer, will definitely be back.Highly recommend.

If you are looking to get away from the busy city, The Barn Owl is the perfect place to go to. With breath taking views, tranquil setting and delicious food, this place is a must.

The Barn Owl Midlands.
Difficult to get to and on very bad roads. We went during a very busy peak time though and it was extremely busy so I gave a better rating based on this as it would for sure be better when quieter. They were full and not accepting walkins without a long wait but we had a reservation. Beautiful place and views and scenery but they were far too busy and we had to wait well over an hour for our food. Food was decent (not halaal but a separate vegan and vegetarian cooking area), some ok veg options and good coffee. Waitress was overworked and not professional, no updates or interest. Worth the experience once.

The Barn Owl Midlands.
This is a gem: great food and coffee in an idyllic setting. It's a place to unwind a little. I had the hummus & avo toast which was a perfect light meal for a hot day, but there are plenty of interesting options on the menu to choose.

A gem of a place. Serene and gorgeous setting so close to Howick. Super friendly staff just like Ryan, the 'umbrella guy' aka the owner. Delicious food and drinks, especially the coffee. The Barn owl is a beautiful building with a fantastic outdoor space catering for families and is an ideal location for a special occasion.

Beautiful location!!! Great coffee spot for the coffee lovers, delicious sugary treats and surprisingly good looking meals! Definitely the ideal spot to connect and catch up with old and new friends.

The Barn Owl Midlands.
There is such a hype about this place and sadly very over rated. As you enter, the building, decor and setting is really stunning. The service is friendly, helpful but slow. The food unfortunately was a huge let down. My Jamaican chicken salad was so underwhelming. The bulgar wheat is dry and the sauces do not adequately bring it together. Two of the tiniest and extremely dry pieces of chicken garnished the salad. Sticky chicken wings was drenched in a sickeningly sweet basting. Chicken ssndwich..meh..And really peeps what is the rave about the carrot cake? It really was average - nice but average. You guys certainly haven't tried the one at the Arabella.
