I rented a house through Chas Everitt Stellenbosch. I took great care of the home. We installed proper lights in the kitchen, fittings in the bathroom and irrigation in the garden. All was well maintained. Rent was paid early. I thought we were great tenants. There were constant maintenance issues that were attended to by very poor service providers and the problems were never fixed. It was a back and forth issue till they day I moved out. Very unpleasant. When I moved out several deductions were made with only quotes provided. After expressing disagreement with one of the deductions I never got a straight answer. Just one liners. No feedback from management whatsoever. I have asked for invoices and proof of payments to justify some of the costs. Nothing - not even a reply to this. I had to hand over the case to the rental housing tribunal. I feel very disgruntled with how this is being handled. I have had a traumatic year in 2022 and this situation is adding to further stress. Whilst you're renting they are very nice and sweet. Once you end your contract you are nothing but a nuisance.

I wish i had the chance to work with Desiré Van Der Linde, from the start of my experience. If so, then 5 stars for sure. She came in to rescue a problematic situation arising from poor communication.From the outset, she was calm and professional and her communication skills are exemplary.
