I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Grand Pavilion and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service, which only continued throughout the entirety of my meal.To start off my meal, I ordered the Asian oysters which were incredibly fresh and tasty. They were delicately prepared and had a perfect balance of flavors. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the angus steak and it did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection and accompanied by a delicious sauce that elevated the flavors of the dish even further. And finally, for dessert, I ordered the chocolate fondant which was an excellent way to end off the meal. The fondant was warm, gooey and rich, with a great balance of soft and crispy textures.Throughout my meal, the service was top notch. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to my needs and always had a friendly smile on their faces. I felt very well taken care of and the attentive service added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.Overall, I would highly recommend the Grand Pavilion to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience. The food is exceptional, the service is top notch and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I look forward to my next visit to this gem of a restaurant!

The absolute best seafood pasta I’ve had hands down! The oysters were also delicious but not the best Cape Town has to offer. It’s quite a popular restaurant so reservations are essential especially on weekends. The ambiance is lovely, great for those dinners when you’d like to dress up a bit. Good wine selection. Parking is extremely limited so you’re better off taking an Uber to avoid disappointment and distress. The bathroom is on the other side of the restaurant, a bit of a walk but I didn’t mind it because the other half of the restaurant was like an escape to a jazzy/burlesque type of place, but not very convenient when you’re wearing your “sit down heels”. The service is a bit lacklustre, the waiters definitely size you up with regards to how much you look like you’re going to spend and you can definitely see that those customers dressed in luxury branded clothing do get slightly better service. If you’re on a girls trip and this is your splurge night, budget about R500-R700 pp for a main, drinks and tip, but serving sizes for the mains are quite large so you won’t need to stop at a kfc afterwards. Otherwise the food really does carry the entire place regardless of the service, so make sure you put on your Gucci slides and you can expect a perfect dining experience!

Such a spectacular establishment detailing beautiful aesthetics, framed by stunning views of the sea with gorgeous sunsets and most of all delectable food! The service is top notch and the host Sydney ensured we had an fantastic time! Only regret is that we had such few hours to spare, but we will certainly be back.

Had a great night here with my small group tour to South Africa. Will be back with another gang in October. Main restaurant is fantastic but out the back is a hidden pocket of joyous offerings!

Nice beach front restaurant with tasty food and friendly staff. We had the salmon and calamari which were both delicious! I would also recommend getting the fish over any of the red meat options

I enjoyed dinner here one evening and I had such a great time. The views as the sun set were amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole baby chicken and dessert (the dark chocolate fondant). The only complaints I had was that my side of chips took a while and I don’t eat fish so I felt like there were limited options on the menu for people like me, aside from that it’s a really great restaurant.

Food is good. However the prices are on the higher side. For the price that you pay, the service is not at par. It's extremely slow even when the place is not full.

We’ve been in the pavilion a few times and it doesn’t only look great, but also the food was amazing. We really enjoyed the Steak Tartar but also the Sushi and various seafood dishes were delicious!
