Cape SUV

These people sold me an suv with full service history. I was promised the FSH would be available at delivery, that never happened. I was promised that they would find it, that never happened. When I arrived to collect they were busy clearing error codes. The car immediately started showing faults, wouldn't go into reverse, lost power. Obviously a lemon.I immediately informed the sales person that assured me a full refund. When I returned the vehicle they wanted to keep R4000 for fees. The purple nosed owner told me it was their policy. He dropped it to R2000 and I decided to not fight any further. Lesson learned. Do Not buy from these sharks.

Waste of time. Looked at a vehicle and everything seemed good. Car was advertised with full service history and dealer confirmed that they have the full history available. When we asked to see it before closing the deal, however, suddenly there seemed to have been a 'mix-up' and apparently the 'wrong books' came with the car when the dealer bought it straight from a Land Rover dealership. After a weekend of one of the salesmen trying to 'find' the service history of the car, we were told that the last traceable service was done 40k kilometers and 1 year ago. When viewing the car, we were told that the car has been at the dealership for 7 months already - MEANING: The car would have done over 40k km's in less than 5 months, how? Apparently no other service history could be 'made available' by the car brand franchise. After the dealer stopped trying to find the history, we asked for a full mechanical report of the car instead, to be sure the car is in a good mechanical condition. Then the dealer stopped all forms of communication and went silent. Yet, the car is still advertised online with a full service history. They are probably waiting for someone to buy the car, trusting that everything is in order. Total waste of time. Unprofessional. Untrustworthy. Not recommended.Replying to the owners reply below... We would never consider buying a Defender without any trace of a service history whatsoever, due to the well known reliability issues. If we had known from the start that no proper service history was available (even though it was clearly stated on the advert and confirmed again verbally), we would not have come around in the first place. When the history 'disappeared', the dealer had no intentions to negotiate on the price or work out a solution together (such as mechanical reports etc.) So essentially they were asking for the same amount of money as before but offered significantly less, and even after they 'found out' that the history disappeared, the advert on the webpage stayed unchanged mentioning a full service history". Don't think I call that full honesty..."

I was on the lookout for a Toyota Fortuner and happen to drive past Cape SUV, when I walked in I received a warm welcome from one of the Salesman (Martin Odendal) who immediately showed me the exact vehicle I was looking for. Unfortunately we decided not to take the Fortuner due to some personal reasons, however, the service from both Cape SUV and Martin was exceptional and the SUV they were trying to sell to me was in immaculate condition. Even though I did not purchase anything from you guys, I really appreciate that you guys aim to prioritize your clients needs first and above making another sale. Good job!

Vehicle tested was missing parts on dashboard. Engine was faulty but salesman tried to convince me it was how these models performed. This turned out to be untrue. Friendly guy but for a R589000 car utterly unacceptable. Be warned. Customers best interests are not a priority.

I recently purchased a BMW M235i from Cape SUV. I dealt with Niel Lucas. It was a pleasure dealing with Niel. What a breath of fresh air and good service!! We were starting to run out of hope to find a decent SUV in our budget while sitting on a challenging trade-in. Martin and Anton just came to the party and delivered us a great vehicle and a better trade-in than any we were offered by far, allowing us to stay below budget. The pleasant experience continued when two weeks after delivery we had a snag - CapeSUV simply picked up the repair tab without questions. Welcomed warmly by staff and beautiful showroom with comfortable lounge and amenities. The salesman (and owner) was very knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to questions and concerns. I find this important when making such a large purchase! Would highly recommend this establishment.

Recently purchased a Mercedes GLE and dealt with Martin. Was the best experience with a car dealer I have had in 20 years. Martin went above and beyond to facilitate the transaction and delivery of vehicle to my door in Mosselbay. Will def recommend
