Esther’s Country Lodge restuarant served the best home bread and soup today !The beetroot soup will surprise your taste buds and the shaped croutons made a interesting combination of roasted crouton, cream, and thick beetroot soup !

The food is amazing. Best oxtail and cremé brulé I have ever had in my life!Esther and Werner is soooo hospitable as well as their staffStunning yoga retreatNice little spa and treatmentsRooms are modern and minimalisticBed very comfyGarden and swimming pool very nice!Will definitely come again (and again)!

Esther's Country Lodge
We were 10 people having breakfast this morning and the food and surroundings are five star. We did however have a very bad experience with the waiter. Two of us had two beers each and she charged us for three each. When we attempted to rectify this she blatantly stated that maybe we just cannot remember that we had three. Both of us insisted that she was wrong and she then told me that when you drink too much you normally cannot remember how much you drank. This was at 11 in the morning and her remarks were very uncalled for and extremely rude and sarcastic. Unfortunately we did not get her name but she had a black dress on.

Esther is an exceptional hostess. We lodged in a beautiful, clean room and enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. I definitely recommend the oxtail as well as the cheesecake.

Do yourself a favour and pop in at Esther's Country Lodge! Best food, great service in a peaceful, tranquil environment. You just want to stay and not leave....You also have to try their homemade bread and their chocolate brownies and cream for dessert.Definitely going to go back again and also try out their accommodation next time!

Esther's Country Lodge
Esther is a wonderful, accommodating host. The restaurant serves a delicious variety of food. Lovely to have supper there after a day of exploring. The breakfasts are huge and so yum. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a very nice size, clean and modern. The location is also great being about 20 minutes away from different attractions.

Lunch was delicious, we sat in the outside garden section which was peaceful and relaxing. The service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Best Eisben we have had.Gammon and the sides were very good as well.Good service and the owners are quite welcoming and attentive.The garden setting is nice and tranquil.
