They were amazing! Our kitty needed to have a mixed mammary tumour removed and Dr Steven’s was very reassuring and answered all of my questions with patience and kindness. The staff were friendly and professional and we were very impressed. I would highly recommend this vet hospital and will be taking my two kitties there from now on.

We were truly glad we got to take our dog to the Balito vet. The experience was amazing. We were well informed about our sick baby. Everything was explained to us in details and we were even given examples of what could cause the illness. Within 30min our baby felt better, he had stopped spewing and his diarrhea had stopped. When we reached home he drank lost of water and wanted food. We saw the vet the next day and he was all happy and healthy.First time experiencing a vet that actually explained everything to me and assured me.Great service, super amazing friendly staff.Charlotte Mooldey. The vet was very friendly but the diagnosis was inaccurate. The first day I took my cat in she said he had a gastric problem and gave him three injections. He still wouldn't eat (hadn't eaten in days). The second time they said he was constipated and gave him three injections and laxatives. It puzzled me why they wouldn't pick up a simple issue like that on the first appointment. I took my cat to another vet who instantly picked up that he was uncomfortable because he had fleas. I had pointed this possibility out to ballito hospital vet but she brushed over it. The umhlanga vet i took him to advised me to syringe feed my cat and he received flea treatment. He's now eating and playing as normal. I'm very disappointed as I saw all the good reviews and thought my baby would be in good hands. I also exhausted his medical aid consult fee with no useful advice or treatment but what I'm most upset about is my baby starved and would've gotten very ill if I didn't take him for a second opinion. I'm sure I'll get a rude response but I'm not being rude. I'm sharing my honest review so you can get a second opinion if your pet doesn't get better. Overall the environment is nice but what matters most is efficiency.

This is the best veterinarian clinic/hospital I've taken our pets to. Reception, staff and the doctors are extremely professional. Each and everyone are absolutely dedicated to helping animals. They are kind and considerate to both their patients and the pet owners.

For a stressed out dwarf bunny, this vet was brilliant! Not quite the normal pet, but Dr Brown assisted us quickly and was so accommodating for a pet that can't do loud noises. Debbie was also so very helpful, setting up a profile over the phone to help quicken the process. Thank you so much for the amazing service.

The worse experience ever! I took my African grey in for treatment and was told he had a Vitamin A deficiency. They did no tests on him and just diagnosed him by looking at him!! He was given injections without proper explanation and sent home, unfortunately he relapsed, and we had to take him back, yet again, doctors just looked at him and decided to keep him. The sad part is they don't explain why and what's the reason for treatment. They do not communicate and this causes stress on pet owners. My loving pet came back home and was fine for a few days but his condition worsened, we decided to take him back for the third time and it was only during this time they decided to take further action and do an x ray. 15 minutes after the x ray, he was declared dead... the doctor (Dr Brown) did not explain how and what may have caused his death. What is upsetting is that Dr brown only mentioned after he passed on that x rays are harsh on birds and they had a previous experience like this. Despite her knowing this she never made us aware only after he passed on were we told. The most heartbreaking part is that they had handed his body in tissue paper ,which they use to wipe their hands!!!!!!. Never would I imagine how heartless a vet could be as well as unprofessional. His illness should have been treated sooner if they took the necessary action in the beginning.PLEASE BE AWARE PET OWNERS DON'T TAKE YOUR BIRDS , THIS IS NOT A VET THAT TREATS THEM.

They really helped my hunter a Springer spaniel. Keeping him over night and monitoring . He was so much better when I collected him the next day. He was in safe hands.
