We Need a Nanny

Waste of money... Posted a job and clearly outlined what and when I needed from a nanny. One nanny who seemed to suit perfectly responded, but was not available on the dates I needed and wanted $50+ per hour. Another who doesn't mind babies when I clearly said we need a nanny for a 4 month old. $75 wasted.

**Waste of time and money**Reviewed August 2022.I needed a Nanny and this site cannot provide one. Do not waste your time or $75 joining fee. There are no suitable nannies in Sydney on this site. Members do not respond to direct messages. Ads do not generate leads. The site statistics are not real. The site is run by a filipino based call centre that does not answer calls directly.This site should be labelled a scam as it cannot provide a Nanny and has no talent. The Nanny profiles are useless.Here is my experience.I paid $65 joining fee plus $10 per month.I posted an ad looking for a nanny from Monday to Wednesday 3pm to 7pm in Sydney for over market rate set at the highest option of $30+ p/hr.According to the stats on my profile, I've had 193 job views and there's 411 carers in my area. These are outstanding numbers stacked in my favour, but these figures are not credible and are worthless estimates. If I was a betting man, this would be a guaranteed win. I only need 1 profile view and 1 Nanny to get a result. Here's where that ended up.The 4 messages I received were:*3 message replies that their calendar didn't align with my requirements (although their profiles indicated they were available mon-wed after school). These are not useful responses and no chance to verify the authenticity of the responder. So 3 worthless replies.*1 message from an older carer without a car and appears to be unsuitable for a number of additional reasons I won't go into, and i wish them luck. Another worthless reply.I directly messaged over 36 profiles of carers on the site inviting them to apply and view my ad as they appeared suitable. 31 out of 36 have not responded at all. I don't even know if they viewed my message or where these alleged 193 ad views came from. Most profiles had been active in the last day, week or month at most. I avoided the inactive accounts longer than that and the ones without photos are doing a disservice. There is barely anyone online recently in the area, certainly not 193 people to view!My question is, when I need a Nanny, can you in fact provide one?Clearly not. The site gets 1 star and that's being generous. There are no nannys and the site can't deliver a response from a profile that you could even start to assess for suitability to trust your kids with.

With the current nanny shortage in Sydney, even nanny agencies are having trouble finding candidates for paying customers, so the situation is pretty dire! But we found many great candidates on We Need a Nanny, and had found our nanny within about one week. I highly recommend!

Apparently lots of nannies... But I agree with one of the other posts which indicate that the numbers are all fictitious.We have had an add up for weeks, and have had two responses from people who are in no way qualified to be nannies. We have tried to contact over 15 nannies, and only one has responded (which makes me think that the other 14 are bots).I would save your money and look elsewhere.
