Had the vegan creamy pasta❤️The sauce was absolutely amazing, but the pasta was undercooked. Definitely going back though!

An astonishing number of vegan options, that don't disappoint at an authentic Italian restaurant. The cheesiest vegan pizza I have had - and such a delicious crust. Heaven.

They have this amazing little balcony up the wooden staircase from where you can enjoy the of the sunset far above the traffic. Probably not a hippy teenager joint. Instead you experience a relaxed well prepared dish in calm surroundings, attended by the knowledgeable waiters. This is my second return visit.

Wonderful establishment that offers a variety of pizza and pasta dishes for vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters! This is certainly a hidden gem. We tried two vegan pizzas and it was delicious. Service was great and the deli offers a wide range of vegan cheeses and frozen ready-made meals, snacks and sweet treats to go. Supporting this local business is recommended.

We had our first visit this evening to this hidden gem. What a delight! Even the load shedding couldn’t dull the mood and they were fully functional, despite our ‘national ambient lighting’. The menu had such variety for vegans as well for meat loving folks. A quaint deli within the restaurant with some take away meals and other Italian delicacies is also available. We cannot wait to be back!

They literally have the best vegan pizza I ever had (how do you even make a vegan 4 cheese pizza work?!?).The vegan ragu bolognese is also amazing, and so is the spinach lasagne. At this point I’d feel comfortable just blindly ordering whatever there.

The food was absolutely delicious though a bit oily.... The sorbet was to die. Awesome service. Great place. They have a market to buy their ingredients and we got the vegan mozzarella which is awesome.

Unfortunately we had an an awful experience at Meet Italy today. We ordered two pizzas for take away and it was inedible. It was actually disgusting that it had to be thrown away. I phoned the restaurant to notify them of the terrible order and they offered us another meal. I doubt any meal from this restaurant would be any good so we declined that offer. Food like this should never be served to customers. This is rather disappointing as I had high hopes given the great reviews.

My boyfriend and I ate here while staying in Johannesburg for a few days from NYC. We came here for the vegan food and we were very happy with our zucchini chips, spinach lasagna, 4 cheese pizza and penne arriabata. It's a really cute place with an indoor / outdoor Italian atmosphere. There's also a small Italian store and prepared food to take home. Very friendly staff too! I would definitely return!
