Nextgen Real Estate is not close to worth 1 Star. This company should not even be allowed to operate in the property space because they never take responsibility for anything. I believe they are in a scam with these landlords they represent to con people. The properties they rent out are staged as perfection, a week after moving in, the property starts falling apart. To which the landlord and assigned Nextgen Real Estate Agent never attend to in time or never at all. Until you decide to move out, they collude to revamp the property with your deposit money.I'm still fighting for my deposit and prorated rent, as I signed a 1 year lease agreement and moved out December 2019. There's zero sense of urgency and evidence showing they know what they doing along with the 'Con Landlord'. My advise, steer away from this company!

By far the worse service we've had in our life. Little to no response from agents, especially after we moved out. We rented a place for 3 years without giving them any trouble and now we it's time to discuss repayment for the deposit they do not respond. We have moved out on the 31st of July and the final inspection report has not even been completed. During the time we rented the property they could not even give us a proof of residence or a signed contract.The property we rented from them has been in the market for amore than a year and they have only had 3 people that has viewed the place. Now the places is standing empty because we have notice and I feel pity for the landlord.I would not recommend anyone ever renting a property that is listed by them.

I don't know where to begin when writing this, but I am making a point of it to write on every single social media platform to make sure the next person doesn't get robbed blindly like we are.From the reviews I have read everyone seems to have the same problem, estate agents keep saying they are waiting for the landlord to make a decision on how much of your deposit they will return and yet there is always an endless list of stuff they all of a sudden need to replace, they don't respond to mails and ignore messages and calls when it comes to giving you your money back, but let me tell you when you have to pay them for something they are quick to answer. Seems funny that so many people seem to have the same issue we are currently having.Only shows you there is a real problem here.Yes, we did not have enough time to clean the place properly, but I spend 3 hours scrubbing, sweeping and mopping and yet we are told the place is left dirty, but the new tenants were told they can move in while we are still moving out. The last place we rented through NextGen, same issue even though we hired and paid from our own pocket for a cleaner, they had to miraculously get someone to clean, and let me guess it will be the same as last time, a RIDICULOUS amount of money. Yet, it's being done 17 days after we moved out.And from the responses I have seen on these reviews, every single one of them were rude and disrespectful. So I'm guessing the response to my review won't be much better.Will not recommend NextGen to anyone and my Fiance and I are actually really upset that it has come to this, but we will not sit back and allow NextGen to take our money AGAIN.

Would not recommend as rental agents,you can never get hold of your agent they take days to respond to emails or messages and never phone you back and they are never wrong the tenant is always wrong nothing to do with deposit return that is a whole new story on its own

Interesting how Nextgen is never at fault when you read through all the replies on previous reviews submitted. Even the review that my wife submitted was rejected as the lease was not in her name. Does this invalidate our experience with Nextgen?Our lease ended on 31/07/2022, and yet I still get notifications from TPN that our rent is not paid. But refunding of our deposit is not mentioned, regardless of stipulations in the rental agreement. Of course the standard reply will be that the deposit is kept by the landlord, and apparently this exonerates Nextgen from any further responsibilities. I guess that I should be thankful for not having to deal with this company anymore.Let's see what snotty remarks will be left by Nextgen on this review.

I was introduced to an agent (Kiara) from Nextgen a little over a month ago by my landlord whom I was leasing an apartment from. My apartment had gotten sold, and I approached her at the beginning of October to view another unit in the same complex that I was living in..I was happy after the viewing and immediately began submitting my application. My current lease agreement would terminate on the 31 October 2022. After an entire month of her requesting documentation, which I duly submitted, I was asked for more supporting documents, which I did submit. Three days before, I was due to hand in my keys at my current residence, more supporting documentation was requested. Once again, I submitted them. I repeatedly inquired from the agent if my application was approved and when I may expect the key. I was continuously told either “I have spoken to the owner” or “”the owner is not answering her phone.” Yesterday was the 31 October. After several desperate pleas to please let me know what time I may receive the key, I was told “ the owner is not answering “ My transport who was on standby cancelled at the very last minute My alternate standby transport cancelled. I had to get an emergency furniture removal company to collect my belongings, load them on to the truck, in the rain at 16:30. While we were moving out, the new tenants were moving in, simultaneously The transport company decided to take advantage of the situation and see fit to increase his tariffs. I am now being charged a ridiculous amount for transport and storage. I was forced to stay in a hotel. It’s unfortunate and sad that I had to encounter someone as unprofessional as you. You don’t even deserve the one star.

Fabio Peres, one of the best agents I've dealt with, he tried his best to help us get a place, very patient, helpful and friendly, I would recommend him to anyone looking to rent a place, thank you so much Fabio!

This is a fantastic agency to appoint if you are a corrupt home owner. As a landlord you are able to guess any amount (that's right, you don't need any proof) of water & electricity that you feel you would like to charge your lessee.Nextgen doesn't only turn the blind eye (or state they only act on behalf of the landlord), they also make sure to report you to the credit bureau should you fail to pay your falsified bills on time.Rotten with corruption, but hey don't believe me, just read the rest of the comments here.There are fantastic agencies in Jhb and this isn't one of them, I wished someone could have warned me.
