Such a great place for delicious gin cocktails amongst others. Loved their poppers and beautiful views of the mountain. Pizzas looked incredible too.Friendly staff and definitely will be back. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their coffee is amazing because its deluxe. I had the gin with the berry ice cube and the Hendricks with a basil and cucumber ice ball. Can't remember the names. They make a mean frozen margarita too

I was at Oblivion for a birthday dinner the other day and Dean served us and he was exceptional, lovely and so timely with everything. His service completely aligns with the rest of the restaurant (the food being so tasty, with a wide range of drinks to that I don’t see quite often at other restaurants) and I was so pleased really. The ambiance was so unique too. Looking forward to coming back soon! Definitely ask for Dean if and when you go to Oblivion.

So this was my first time to Oblivion and what I can say is it is a very modern looking place, there is a relaxed atmosphere, it feels cozy and there are friendly staff to greet you on your way in, however on my night there that is as far as it went for the good things. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and was to be honest very disappointed. It looked and tasted like it had come out of a can. I expected a lot more. Not that there is anything wrong with canned food but not what I was expecting from this place. Would I recommend the place to you, yes I would ,but would advise you to try their Pizzas and burgers rather, they looked awesome. Most meals range between R100 and R150 with steaks topping out at R195, this means that you don't need to break the bank to eat here. Food took around 20mins to reach the table. They have a wide range of drinks and cocktails available including non alcoholic options.

Delightful gem in Claremont with an upstairs deck and unexpected view of the tops of Table Mountain & Devil's Peak. The Cosmopolitan I had was a bit disappointing in terms of taste and the glass was only ¾ but that could be result of waitress having to navigate stairs to bring the drink. Maybe the restaurant needs to think about having a bar at deck level or pouring the mixed drink at the table. The salad I had with added bacon was absolutely delicious. It was interesting to have balsamic vinegar and olive oil served in tiny bowls rather than bottles being brought to the table. My preference would be for the bottles as one only uses what is needed (rather than having leftovers in a container)Overall, a pleasant experience.

Upon entering for our winter work lunch, we were warmly greeted by a waitress and the comfort of the two fireplaces that grace the restaurant. Drink orders were taken and promptly delivered. The knowledgeable Chanel (our waitress) then gave us recommendations from each section of the menu. The six of us shared three starters. One worth mentioning was the very spicy jalapeno poppers. I loved them! We all ended up having steaks, some fillet, most ribeye. We were pleased with the overall quality of the steaks, although it is worth mentioning that one of the steaks was slightly underdone. I finished it anyway :) The taste of the steaks was superb, and all six of us thoroughly enjoyed them. The desserts were also great, and while I don't have a sweet tooth, I tried them all. Thanks to our waitress, I was reminded about Amaretto. So I thoroughly enjoyed my Amaretto Dom Pedro by the fireside. The overall experience from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere was great, and we'll definitely be back!

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at Oblivion on the deck, and I can confidently say that the experience was nothing short of amazing! I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service and hospitality provided by Tracey and her team. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a professional and welcoming team. Throughout the evening, the managers were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that everything was running smoothly. I also want to give a special shoutout to our waiter who went above and beyond to make sure my guests and I had a great time. The atmosphere, food, and drinks were all fantastic, and my friends and family are still talking about how much they enjoyed the celebration. I am truly grateful to Oblivion for making my special day one that I will never forget.I highly recommend Oblivion for anyone looking to host a memorable event. The dedication to providing excellent service truly shines through, and I will definitely be returning for more dinners and events in the future.Thank you once again to Tracey and the entire Oblivion team for everything!

Went there the morning of 13 November 2022 for brunch. We were welcomed by very friendly staff. They were extremely flexible with my choice to check out the place to decide where we want to be seated. We opted to sit outside as it was hot (weather wise). The outside is upstairs with an undercover roof. There was a nice breeze and the view was great. We didn't wait long for our drinks or food. The waitress provided us with some excellent suggestions to try. The scenery was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this establishment. To me they are not too pricey.I ordered the rib eyed steak with veggies and potatoes. They placed the rib eyes on top of the veggies and potatoes, which makes it look like a small portion. It definitely isnt. I was full after my meal. The butter sauce was amazing as well.

This evening was my first visit. We had a wonderful time, the service is what stood out the most. The ability of our waitress, Chanel, to be always available when we needed her, but also without being a distraction by constantly checking in" on us was such a pleasure. As an ex waitress of many years I know how hard it is to get that balance right. I really appreciated that and also her ability to recommend really good food was great. Lovely atmosphere
