Great chance to try Cape Malay food. It's home cooking straight from the house, so don't expect restaurant style. We had the vegetarian butter bean curry and roti which was delicious. Very friendly service. It's worth calling or messaging ahead if you plan to eat there.

I attended with Italian tourist Faeeza’s home cooking course of Cape Malay cuisine. Faeeza’s great personality, teaching style and good humour was wonderful to experience as she taught us how to make chicken curry, roti, samosas and chilli bites. It was an enjoyable 2.5 hours preparing the starters & main course, and lunch thereafter with Faeeza. A worthwhile morning with great company, good experience and tasty food. We enjoyed the time spent with Faeeza, and she shared the recipes so we can take back home. I will definitely advise all our guests to try the cooking course or, enjoy the cafe and lunch spot, serving local home cooked food in the middle of Bo Kaap.

An amazing experience, the food is incredibly delicious and Faeeza is very welcoming and a good host. We had a great time, enjoyed the food and the chats and will come back for the cooking class! An experience to remember.

This place has a very special charm with Faeeza, her husband and another worker feeling more like your aunt/uncle and extended family. They are so honest and warm, you just want to hang out with them all day. The food is delicious, great place to try Cape Malay food, while in Bo-Kaap especially since Bismallah is closed.

My fiancé and I took Faeeza’s 2.5 hour dinner cooking class. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Cape Town. Not only is the traditional Cape Malay food absolutely delicious (samosas, chicken curry, roti, & chili bites), but Faeeza is incredibly warm, kind and knowledgeable. We’ll be sure to bring the newly learned cooking techniques home with us. Highly recommend her class, or at minimum stopping by for a meal!

Delicious traditional Cape Malay Cuisine. Service was good. Friendly staff. Unfortunately two items on menu were sold out, but we did go at the end of the day. Lovely setting.

Tasty local food. I came Monday for lunch and was not crowded but I have been told that reservation is needed in advance for the weekends. There was no Bobotie so I ordered the only main course they had that was curry chicken.

Everyone make sure to visit Faeeza’s for a bite to eat during your visit to Cape Town! The food was incredible (amazing!) and they were so kind to serve us even in the height of load shedding (and at the odd hour when we showed up). What a great experience!

Well priced and well portioned, but found the food quite average. Got the samosas to start, they were a little small, then the boboti which was pretty bland and cold, and the chicken curry which was average.Go earlier during the day as the milk tarts had sold out when I went, and so I got koeksisters instead (though I'm not a fan of donut type things so I gave them away)I did also get gastro later that night, but can't be sure how, as one of the other customers did offer me something from his plate!

Absolutely incredible experience! My partner and I went to Faeeza's Home Kitchen on a Saturday and were joined by another couple. Our class was run by Faeeza's lifelong friend, Salim, who was just wonderful, engaging, funny, a great teacher, and looked after us so well.We were offered to be as much part of the cooking as we wanted to (for three of us, that was fully emerged, and one party was not as interested, which was completely fine). We got a tour of the different Cape Malay spices, rolled AND flipped our own rotis, folded and filled samosas, cooked both chicken and butter bean curry (an unbelievably delicious veggie option!), fried chilli bites/dhalthies with sambal, and had rooibos tea and koeksisters for dessert.A beautiful way to spend a Saturday morning/afternoon. Will recommend highly to everyone going to Cape Town. Also, if you're not looking to do the cooking class, you can pop by for freshly served food in Faeeza's tea garden for the flavourful, but less emersive, experience of Cape Malay cuisine.
