Chef @Delayn Lewies is outstanding - taste, presentation, the best!! Duck was superb. I ordered the split pea/bone marrow soup with every dinner. Could not get enough- will definitely visit The Green Orchid next round in Cape Town.

Absolutely spectacular - I doubt that I have eaten that good in Europe before! We tried 4 different starters, and 4 main dishes. Taste was top class, quality and combination of ingredients as well, beautiful fine dining preparation. We will come back for breakfast tomorrow on our last day.

Everything’s just perfect.We visited The Green Orchid for dinner (no reservation made) and had a perfect evening here. The location is really nice and the staff knows how to provide a perfect service.Fillet, chicken and starters were all very good and the dessert was a real highlight.Wine and gin are also to recommend.Prices are fair.

Having eaten everywhere in Hout Bay, this place is the best. They grow all their own vegetables and you can tell in the flavours. We went for lunch and had 3 dishes which were all superb, but the Tandoori Chicken Tacos were outstanding. Another bonus was that everyone was super friendly in particular our waiter Anthony who was brilliant. Can't wait to try the dinner menu!

Calamari/squid dish had an amazing subtly spicy sauce. Seared sesame seed salmon on a bed of chickpeas was also a novel touch. Fresh wholesome roast veggies cooked to a perfect crisp and crunchy consistency.

Very good breakfast for an affordable price. The place looks amazing and has a beautiful outside area. As it was very new we were the only guest that morning and we enjoyed it very much! This place is a must visit when in Hout Bay.

Came here because we've seen the nice menu online, the menu has totally changed from the good alternative breakfast we wanted to mostly standard breakfast you can get anywhere ... plus the prices increased within this one year to about two and a half times the price. Food quality, service and ambiente was good anyway.

I got extremely sick directly after this dinner. So the served fish was spoiled. I would recommend to go somewhere else. There are many better options in the region where you get good food and where they can keep the food fresh.If the food was not spoiled I would rate this restaurant 3/5. It was too expensive for what you get and too much salt was used.
