The Curry Muncher

My Uber eats account was hacked and the order was from this restaurant to Glen Vista. We contacted the restaurant to advise them and the order was not delivered to the person who hacked my account. Uber however cannot reimburse me as this restaurant says they delivered the order. I am now out of pocket of R300. What a bunch of rogues.

So....I have alot to contribute as to this establishment's food.Firstly bought two breyani's yesterday,and a chicken bunny.The serving portion of the breyani's were scary to say the least.This was after I asked before buying. Half the serving size as your closest competitor. As well your pricing is more.The Mutton was braised too much,actually borderline burnt.Lack of salt,and the sour milk terrible. No Danha or chilli. I'm sure no garlic and ginger either.Take my advice, go to Bedford Bunnies in Mondeor and you will truly not be disappointed for your hard earned cash.Also I have spoken to the owner before, has an attitude of he is doing the customer a favor, not we are supporting his business.At least during these harsh times,sub par establishments will start to feel the pinch.

In terms of value, my assessment is fair - certainly, the portions are ample for the consumption of the average individual. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The food is tasty. My only concern is on presentation :if the food is analogous to real estate, I would say it needs gentrification. The beef and potatoes could be reduced to chewable chunks. I am a little persnickety with regards to aesthetic appeal - the placement of the curried meat on a bed of rice very important!

Mouth-watering and filling curries, rice and rotis. I'd recommend their beef or mutton curries. Options of mild or hot. Friendly staff. Large variety of seeds, spices, herbs, seasonings, teas etc on offer. Really a lovely store.

I got asked to leave because I was talking on my cellphone. Went back to talk about their reasoning and was told there is no need to discuss. Disgusting service! The owners have no respect for their consumers. Will be taking it further.

I drive all the way from Rivonia to have the Curry Muncher's Samoosas! In my opinion by far the best quality and value for money.Be sure to try the chilli bites and assorted curries aswell, or if you want good quality spice they have it all!

Worst service ever. Charged me incorrectly, then made a big hassle to refund me. Needless to say after more than five years of support, I will not support this shop any longer. It's the manner in which this old man treats people, totally disgusting. Threw the money at me, I politely just left it and walked away, good luck treating your customers like scum

I had the vegetable curry takeaway and it was an absolut disgrace, the food must have been frozen and then re-heated as it was a mushy one colour mess, none of the veggies had any bite to them. The long period of freezing caused all the spices to blend together to something unidentifiable. The raw unseasoned pile of grated Carrots did not help the dish either. My partner had the beef curry and besides the unappealing look and big bones the flavour and carrots where the same as the above. Threw it in the dustbin. How can anyone with tastebuds rave about this place! Would definitely not recommend.

I tried their chicken Biryani. I would give it a 5/10. The chicken breasts were tender and well marinaded but the dish didn’t taste like other Biryani dishes I’ve had before.., however, the pickled salad on the side is very tastey.

CHICKEN CURRY IS NOT CURRY - more like boiled chicken and potatoes cooked in Tumeric. NO FLAVOUR and definitely over-priced R 600 for 5 meals with no rice or sides, just cooked up meat in a watered down sauce. very disappointing and definitely do not recommend the Curry Muncher!!!!!
