Willow Banks Wedding & Conference Venue

What a great weekend @willow banks lodge.It is very affordable, real value for money and you absolute get a very relaxing retreat on the river only a few minutes from Parys.The hosts are friendly, very helpful and we felt at home in seconds.The view is fantastic and the venue is perfect, with great food.Btw a bird lovers paradise.

Booked as spa session for me and my daughter. Was dissapointed. On arrival I requested to go to the bathroom. Bathroom was not resently cleaned, no toiletpaper and workers clothes were scattered around the basin area. The gowns they gave us smelled like paint and my daughter's was full of little holes. I was pregnant and in great need for a foot treatment however after the treatment my feet were not in a better condition and the paint on the slippers we were given stained my feet. They prepared a platter for us but some of the grapes were rotten and it did not seem as if it was rinsed, the carrots seemed as if it was left outside for some time and the cheese had mold on them. Will definitely not return.

I expected more, unorganized, pool dirty with leaves. Rooms and bedding are dirty. Allot of mosquitoes and no place sleep, no water during load shedding, the photos are no longer how it looks.There is massive potential here, but low maintenance and upkeep is killing this place.Pathways overgrown and dirty with leaves. And 2 hornets nets in the spa.Noisy if you trying to sleep with a river view. Forget it.

We stayed over at Willow Banks playing some golf in the area.The personnel are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was just delicious and carried us to the halfway house with ease.The rooms was neat and clean and came supplied with fresh towels, tee/coffee station(no milk), soap in the shower and wash basin.Bedding is good and beds are new and firm, made for a good rest before the next course.I would use Willow banks again.Gravel road not the best, travel at slower speed when using a car.

Absolutely terrible!Dirty, unfriendly, run down and the staff do NOT wear masks - in the middle of a pandemic! The chef prepared breakfast in a dirty kitchen before cleaning the dinner from the night before, yuk! We will not be back!

The welcoming was warm & really nice. The things I did not like was:1. The dogs staying on the premises because I have a phobia for dogs2.There was no water the following morning.What was disappointing is that nobody bothered to make any provision for water even though there was water at the reception area.3.The parking lot is small,we had to park on the grass4.The Dstv was not working but we got a discount for this.The place is beautiful and has a lot of potential for growth however they need to improve on enhancing the overall client's experience. Not everyone likes dogs,increase the parking space and ensure the room is ready and everything is in a working condition before check ins.

If you want to leave the hustle and bustle behind and gather your thoughts in a quiet, rustic place, this is the place to be!! With Spa and Boat Trips and restaurant available on site, it caters to all your needs. You can even do a spot of fishing while you are there. The staff are 5 star staff, friendly, helpful and truly caring!!! They give PERONAL attention to their patrons in such a way that makes you feel like you visiting friends, but still not overwhelming and in your face all the time! Spacious room and bathroom with all the creature comforts of city at your finger tips, but in the peaceful setting of nature! It's not too far from town (about 4,5km) so you can hop out and enjoy a day full of shoppie traipsing" without having to refuel to get there! Situated only 2 hours drive from Pretoria and mostly Highway to get there

Dirty place really. The chef is so rude, she won't even allow us to have an extra slice of bread. They give you only one slice of bread. They serve only Oros juice, I have never seen such. Cleaniness and neatness are not prioritised. There were no hand towels in the bathroom and beds were not properly made.Their spa use dirty and filthy gowns which confirmed my suspicions that they reuse the same unwashed gowns on different clients which is horrible especially during this devastating Covid period.Those people are rude and unfriendly. Their garden maintenance workers also work in the kitchen still in their dirty garden work clothes. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I wonder who rated the place with a 4 star?

We had no water in our room while it was really cold outside an we wanted to take a hot shower. The aircon in our room did not make warm. After complaining we were told we could move to the room next door. Much smaller room and no help offered. We had to ask for drinking water. There is a horrible looking dog that follows you into your room and that lies on the couches. This could easily be the worst place we have ever stayed at.
