Terrible service from this company based in Bloemfontein .Dont pay any monies upfront . I bought and paid for a custom size barn door in December 2020. Its now July 2021, still no delivery , no refund and just excuse upon excuse . Typically , viaan , won't take your calls once you have paid and he is not going to honor the order. I had to use other people's phones to get through to him and finally gave up. Can't be keep borrowing phones to make contact just to hear the same story, order is almost ready". Now with the rioting /unrest

They don't even deserve 1 star! Avoid this company at all costs! After waiting months for our bed, when it finally arrived it was defective and since then we've been waiting months for a refund. All we get is lies, lies and lies.

What a rollercoaster ride with these guys. Such a shame as the website and photos of the furniture made me so excited to order from this company. Sadly, the initial impression was short lived as we have had an awful experience with this business. First we received the bed 10 weeks after we ordered online, rather than within the 8 weeks promised. When we eventually got the bed, the headboard was damaged and the bars are very wide apart for the mattress to sit on, despite us asking before purchasing if there were slats - and we were told yes. We later noticed a cut in the bar and the quality of the bed is mediocre. So we notified Rustic of these issues, which they were planning on rectifying. After being promised the replacements since 16 August, which were meant to get sent down to us by courier and were still not with us on 24 August. We were then offered to have them delivered in person w/c 30 August, as Willem was in our area. After asking many times for photos before delivery - which we never received - and as we still hadn't had delivery by 3rd September, we decided to ask for a refund. We were told that we would receive a refund and then they would collect the bed via courier. We are still waiting for a refund and for the faulty bed to be collected. It is now 13th September. If you are considering ordering something from this company, we would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you are 1) want to receive a piece of furniture within 2 months after ordering and 2) risk not getting a refund if you're not happy with the furniture. We are very disappointed with how we've been treated and think that the only way they will change their ways is by making sure other people don't order from them until they start caring about customer service. I am only giving them 1 star because their website is decent.

As all of the above reviews. Been waiting 2 months for a table that needed some restoration work. The agreed timeline was 1 week. He took the table and the money and disappeared. Do not buy from here!!

I ordered 3 pieces of furniture (they are not cheap) on 22 July 2020. Confirmation of order and money paid (full amount is payable, not a deposit) and delivery to be in 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks later, the owner, Viaan, calls to say he is waiting to finish a piece of furniture for another client in the Western Cape and because of that, my delivery is delayed, but I will receive it by Friday 18 September. I received nothing, not even a phone call. 3 more promises of delivery after that, with no communication when it didn't happen. Each time I had to ask and had to listen to another excuse. When it finally arrived on the 30th of September (10 weeks later), the quality was so poor, I had to ask for him to collect and refund. The paint and varnish still wet, the wheels came loose (before I even opened it) and on closer inspection, big pieces of wood are torn out and lying in pieces. Viaan begged to fix the furniture, he would have it collected and overnight back to me. I agreed, as long as I have the furniture back in the time frame he suggested (a week later). Then he made new arrangements, he would bring a team and fix the furniture at my house. I agree, as long as it is fixed in the time frame we agreed on. Cut off was today 6 October, 11 weeks after the order was paid for. This morning he calls to say he will not be here today, but tomorrow. I told him that was not the agreement and so far I have been very accommodating. I want my money back and the furniture removed from my garage. He now ignores my messages and I wonder if I would ever hear from him again... The quality of his furniture is poor, it is way to heavy for the wheels and the wood (pine) is badly glued together. Communication has been very poor and I caught him in a few lies, trying to cover up his mess.

I saw a table I loved and decided to speak to Viaan. I am glad I gave it a chance, I could not find better quality at the price. Will definitely be looking at more pieces!

Unfortunately we did not look at the reviews before purchasing - but our experience was exactly the same. Empty promises, missed 4 deadlines, eventually we had to get our lawyers involved - but he has been liquidated before, so I don't know if that helped much. We eventually had to send a driver to Bloem to pick up our stock. This is a case of a business owner with a talent for design and build, but zero business sense. If he could just manage expectations, lead times and not promise delivery nationwide (an unrealistic business promise!) It could have worked.

Update:It has now been 6 weeks - no table, no communication!! Four weeks late for a console table!! Doesn't reply to emails and if you call him he has empty promises that don't deliver! Save yourself the time and drama and just buy something from Coricraft.Ordered a console table on the 23/01/2021 - they promised it would only take two weeks to deliver. It's now 5 weeks later and many exchanged emails with empty promise after empty promise! Don't shop here!
