Extremely welcoming owners, and a lovely place to stay, with a stunning view of the Langeberg mountains! Tom and Olwyn always do their very best to make you feel welcome and comfortable - a real home away from home!

Tom is very warm and welcoming., makes the best breakfasts and provides an amazing meeting space for our FAMSA Provincial Forum meetings with delicious coffee and treats. Wifi great and generator provides enough power to remain on wifi and work. Highly recommended!

Thank you Tom to you and your family for your friendliness and lovely stay at your guesthouse. It was certainly a weekend we will never forget. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had such a relaxing stay and our fur babies had a blast in the pool and around the garden. The peacefulness, fresh clean air, nature sounds and vegetation was absolutely amazing to experience. We fell in love with this place and will certainly come to visit Aanhuizen Guest House again.

We were 3 bikers on our way home. Was too hot on the road and looked for a place to stay. With in no time we found Aanhuizen Guest House. The owner met us at the gate and had inside parking for our bikes. Showed us the rooms and around the place. Made us really feel at home. We had a braai and swam till 11pm. The owner really has an eye and understanding for the smaller details. Really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!!

Was really a great stay. Made sure we were comfortable & everything was spot on! Really felt welcomed by Tom and he gave us a lot of info on what to do and where to go. Very helpful!

We stayed there for five days with a group of friends. A well located, very quite and nice place we really enjoyed. Owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a pool and braai area available if you want. A good option if you are looking for a place in Swellendam.

Enjoyed a wonderful time at Aanhuizen. Great location close to the town centre. Beautiful views of the mountains. Rooms are well appointed with all amenities. Friendly staff and service with a smile. Lovely breakfast next to the swimming pool.

Tom was a very nice host and he gets to know his guests which is kind of him. The house was in tip top condition and gave us a gift for our honeymoon

I got the feeling when we arrived at Aanhuizen that we were just another guest, not a special guest. I paid, without receiving a receipt, were given a key and was directed to the room, not taken and showen where the room is. To my surprise I couldn't find a wifi code in the guest file and had to go back to the reseption. It was not given to me when I paid or written down somewhere for easy access. No one even attempted to offer to help with the language even though there is a flight of garden steps before reaching the room. The room itself is spacious and it seems as if the bathroom was upgraded. I am not one to bother to much with expensive finishes, but really, wiring hanging from the ceiling? Although this is self-catering, expect only the basics. Small fridge and microwave. Not much utensils to prepare a meal. Aanhuizen is a short drive to the historic part of Swellendam. To summarize: well priced, we did sleep well, but for the rest you will be left to your own devices.
