We had three different main meals at Hilda's Kitchen-the sublime Pork Belly,Old Man Steak and deboned Lamb.All sublime!Excellent service and lots of historical ambience.Highly recommended!

Lovely wine tasting served in a beautiful setting. The drive in on a rural sort of road but definitely worth the trip.

We had lunch on Sunday at this quaint oasis near Darling Hilda’s restaurant on the Groote Post estate.The food was delicious fresh interesting lovely to look at and taste lots of vegetarian options I chose two starters the farm fresh salad full of yummy goodness with taste and the arancini also great!Service efficient but maybe the staff could know a bit more about the estate.Also it would be nice to have the option of wine by the glass as it is the estate wine.Thanks for a super day out !!

We were invited here for a wedding with about 40 guests. Lovely venu on the farm. We had an outdoor wedding seromany under the trees that was awesome. A buffet lunch was served which was a good spread and very tasty. Puddings were also great. Great experience and highly recommended.

This review is for the restaurant only.I ordered the fillet steak with vegetables and received the saddest, stingiest portion of food imaginable. I was told by the waitress that the steak would be 250g. What I received could not have been more than 80g. The amount of vegetables was equally miniscule. The meat tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days. We received a hand written bill on a piece of paper. There was no mention of gratuity on it, just a list of what we ate and the prices. So I added a tip for the waitress in pen. She had done a good job and wanted to express my appreciation. When we went to the front to pay, the woman (I presume the owner) who processed the payment was very unfriendly and displayed a strange attitude towards us.On the way home I added up the amounts and realised they overcharged us R30.My family and I will never eat at this place again. We were all extremely disappointed with our meals. Apparently they were good in the past (the only reason we travelled all the way to eat there). Clearly things have changed. Unsurprisingly the restaurant was completely empty when we were there.To our waitress: thank you for your kind and friendly service. I paid R100 tip for you. In case you did not receive it, check with the woman who processed the payment.

Located in quiet a remote rural part of darling with a bit of an off road drive... This venue has a few options of game drives through the farm, wine tasting and offcourse the famous restaurant... We did not eat here but did the wine tasting which is quite cheap at R30...there are Red and white wines to taste...

What a hidden gem of a wine estate. Excellent wines, delicious gourmet style farm cooked meals served with the best local beers or wines.Scenic and on a nature reserve with buck and giraffe.

The most divine experience at Hilda’s Kitchen. The food and wine was incredible, the pork belly was the best I’ve ever had. The service and staff were friendly and lovely. Would recommend any day!
