Saint Mary's Home For The Aged & Step-Down

My grandfather was sent to st Mary's for his recovery after having a stroke. On admission he was placed on a bed that was soaked and stinking of urine. He then called our family to take him out all of a sudden the manager named nirvana convinced him to stay another night and that she would change the bedding. She promised my brother's that she would call him to confirm that everything was okay. After she left nothing was done for about 4 hours. My grandfather was asked to sit on a chair for over 2 hours in the cold. At 10:30 a nurse by the name of ceaser arrived for duty and she immediately started making the bed. All the time my grandfather heard nirvana laughing enjoying herself with hfreinds that the bottom of the center . She never once came to check up on him as promised . The nurse ceaser hurrily arranged a bed for him. He was given only one bed sheet to cover himself. In the early hours of the morning the window in the ward was left open and a swarm of bees came into the room . At 9:30 my sister-in-law called nirvana to find out how my grandfather was doing without even checking she informed my sister-in-law that he was asleep comfortable in the mean time he was sitting on the chair in the Cold waiting on a bed. My grandfather was on a liquid diet for supper they gave him once slice brown bread and cheese. The room itself had no curtain at all and windows left wide open. As a manager nirvana was suppose to check everything was okay but did not. The service provided by this hospital was absolutely pathetic. The nurses themselves are not even properly trained ny grandfather personally witness the care given to another patient.Absolutely disgusting and disappointing

From being totally helpless needing rehab to a picture of my dad yesterday.The love and care that St Mary's Home has given to Dad is phenomenal. He is up and about and not using a Walker nor stick.
