I give 5 stars because, although the hotel is not as classy as the Hilton, the welcome, service and helpfulness more than makes up for that. It has to be taken into account that this hotel is undergoing renovation and the work is ongoing. The owners do everything they can to make you comfortable and the food is great.Remember also that they have to earn a living and must also attract local business to survive.Times are difficult there and the drought and drop in tourism is having an effect. But they are not deterred and are working very hard to take the hotel into the 21st century whilst keeping its historical character,,,, not easy without a huge bankroll... Well done guys and God bless you in your endeavours.

Friendliness and hospitality shown by both Henco and locals proves why our farming community need to be supported.

Very nice place. Perfect scenery of nature. Would definitely visit again. Porterville is a calm place to rest your mind and soul. The neighborhood is very friendly. I would love a halaal restaurant though. Then it would be perfect. A great thank you to the fisheries for accommodating muslims by using a separate fryer and oil to ensure the fish remains halaal for muslims to eat. I see it as a sign of peace and unity. Overall, it was a place of great hospitality. Thank you

The place was very dodgy, the room I was given, there was no frill on the bed, old plastic scratched tiles and worse the bath tub was having a huge blue stain with gold colour to show the water has beer running forever now the water stain is visible on top of the blue colour stain. No parking you park on the road where there are so many dodgy characters asking for money coz the dame building is a v slot machine and bar for locals.
