I took my Nissan Qashqai in for a service many years ago at William Simpson. I told them the clutch was a bit stiff if they could spray with some Q20. When I fetched the vehicle the guy said I needed a brand new clutch. I told them nothing was wrong with the clutch besides being a bit stiff. He got into a major fight with me and I ended up calling the manager. Still to do this day about 5/6 years later my clutch is still 100% fine without needing to be replaced at any stage. Don’t trust these guys. Have never, and will never go back to them again.

Service on my Alfa was tops.. Bradley's customer service was beyond my expectations.

Hi BradleyThank-you so much for your assistance, putting me at ease and just awesome service you provided me.My Jeep was recently called-in for a factory fix of some small part, which went extremely well and I provided you guys a 10-star rating.This morning I was across the road at Food Lovers and the Jeep was dead, I managed to get it to William Simpson, where Bradley assisted me previously.Bradley put me at ease and said let's go have a look, after lifting the hood, Bradley quickly identified the loose terminal causing the problem.  He then went the extra mile, taking the Jeep to the service department to secure the terminal and run a diagnostic test.  My car was back in 5 mins with everything working perfectly.Bradley now days you seldom get people going out of their way to provide the service and just being as pleasant as you were.  I will definitely go back and recommend William Simpson for service and the place to purchase a car.Thanks so much really appreciate, your help.

Service poor..... waited the entire day for a phone call from the service department to advise what the way forward is with a vehicle.

I had a horrible car service experience at William Simpson Tokai. DO NOT recommend. They kept my car for over 2 weeks and only quoted for a total of 2 hours service done on it. They were very vague when trying to explain why they kept my car for so long and seemed to forget about the reasons they had given me during the course of the 2 weeks. They lied about work done as well as the final quote amount (they conveniently did not include the tax price which raises the service amount by over R1000). They also tried to fill in the checkout form with incorrect details (like kms and prices).My battery also mysteriously died while it was there. (Although it was 4 years old, it had given me no problems up until then and should only need to be replaced at 5 years old). They quoted me R5000 to replace it - I went and bought the battery for R3000 and changed it myself. (I bought the battery from the people who supply William Simpson Tokai with the batteries at a 15%/10% discount!!). They also told me my breaks and break pads needed to be replaced. By this point I did not trust them and took my car to a different service place for a second opinion where I was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my breaks...I was promised a car wash and valet for the terrible service I had received. This never happened. I was also promised that the owner would be in touch once I filled out the customer service form. This never happened either.In my opinion they are dishonest and unreliable.

Thank you very much for the pleasant experience I had purchasing a vehicle at William Simpson. Andrew , our salesperson, was a straight arrow regarding how he dealt with us. Honest , straight to the point and not forcing extras down my throat like others I have dealt with in the past. Vennesa who dealt with our paperwork was the same. Efficient and understanding to all our queries and questions. My experience with these two have shown me that William simpson have a good work culture unlike others I have encountered. They have my recommendations and in my experience, are one of the best dealerships in the western cape. Keep up the good work Andrew and Vennesa, we will be back.
