Aalkie's Dream

Alida and Tienie are wonderful hosts. They went out of their way to see to our every need. We loved the personal touches, the beautifully decorated cottage and the peaceful location. The beds are very comfortable and the linen is clean and crisp. Sitting on the patio with a glass of wine to watch the birds was a favourite. The outside shower is such treat on a hot day or a moonlit night. Alida's breakfast is a must! Thank you for your hospitality....this was like home away from home.Carol and Johan Viljoen

A friend of us recommendet Aalkie's Dream.What a wonderful place!!!We had a warm welcome and felt us like in a paradise.It was not only the clean and lovely decoratet sleeping room. The garden is a place to relax and enjoy. Specially we enjoyed our morning coffee with the singing birds. We always felt safe and this in South Africa without fences or walls around the house!Alida and Tienie are very kindful and friendly and did everything that we felt like at home. Thanks a lot!

For sure THE BEST Airbnb experience I've ever had. Alida and her husband are the sweetest hosts. She have us the perfect warm welcome in her stunning place and precious tips for our journey. The cottage is unbelievably beautiful and spacious. Cosy and delightfully decorated, fully equipped for even more than you could need. You can sit in the patio, enjoying beautiful birds and plants around you, while relaxing. Absolutely recommended!!!

Awesome Hosts. Very Neat and clean and just far enough out of town center to be quiet & peaceful. Close to mountain hiking & MTB trails and natural dam.

A warm welcome awaits you at Aalkie’s dream. Alida’s place is really convenient to the N2 and she is an excellent host. The bed was comfortable and we had total privacy. We would not hesitate to book this accommodation again and thoroughly recommend it.

The apartment was absolutely spotless on arrival! We were spoilt for choice with the beds, with two generous singles and a luxurious queen in a separate bedroom. With a work space in the main living room, it was easy for one of us to get on with work while the other slept. The shower has a decently strong pressure and there are extra comfy shower robes which we very much enjoyed. A notable bonus, in these days of load-shedding, is that the property has backups for essential power usage, like laptops, wifi and lights. The kitchen is thoroughly outfitted, and when I couldn't find a carrot peeler, the owneress brought me a brand new one, in no time! I mustn't leave out the gorgeous deck with multiple seating, to enjoy summer evenings under the fairylights (though wear your citronella for sure), and to view the lush garden and variety of bird-life during the day. Highly recommended and would absolutely go again!

Aalkies's dream is an amazing place to spend a beautiful stay in the city. Alida and Tienie are two fabulous people and attentive to all our needs. No doubt they make you feel at home. The apartment is beautiful and very comfortable. I would choose this place a thousand times more.
